Anyone interested? I have the maps and spent the last few days plotting it in the GPS. I plan to do this in mid Oct (nice and cool out) and want to know if anyone wants to tag along. 745 mi. of dirt roads.:evil I will most likely take a week off to do it so i can enjoy it and take a lot of pics. This will be a good last ride before you have to put on the snow tires.:rofl

    START DATE: 21 October

    START LOCATION: Westville OK

I just flat-out can't take the time off. Give me some prospective dates and I'll see what I can do for a partial.

Working 2 jobs and I ABSOLUTELY can't miss Monday or Wednesday as I teach those nights.

I would like to check out the TAT but I don't think I can get a whole week off.

I would like to do a long weekend ride. (not covering 745 miles)

What would your start and end point ?

Just like DirtyDog.. I can't take a week off.. (especially after taking two weeks off in September), but I think I could do it in two weekends... maybe with an extra day...

You might have different company on any given day but who knows ?

The start point will be one mile west of Westville, OK. Just north of the 62. The end point will be the OK/NM border 4 miles north of 412 in the pan handle. I dont want to do it alone so if i cant get someone to go i will just have to push it off until next year. If i do go this year it will most likely have to start around the 10th of October.

A real possibility for me. I like the idea of a slow ride with lots of stops to take pictures and enjoy the route, countryside and people. What are your thoughts for overnight stops? Camping? Motels?

I will most likely stay in a hotel a few times to recharge everything and shower. Nothing like a good shower every couple of days after riding in the dirt.:D I will camp the other days if possible. I need a vacation so i want to take my time and enjoy as much as i can.

I will have a firm date locked down by the middle of next week, but the 10th of Oct is what i am shooting for to start.

I just ordered some new Shinko 705's to test and a new chain and sprocket set. Other than that it should be a cheap trip. Just gas, food and a couple of cheap hotel fees. Oh yea, and plenty of beer.:freaky

If I'm off and recovered I'd join up for a few miles through my neck of the woods. Plan on running a 3 hour hare scramble Oct 11th and I usually take a few days off after the race just in case..........

Oklahoma portion is kinda boring... I'm looking to do Shadow of the Rockies at some point towards November.
