Hey, that road looks familiar!
Rock Creek Lake, they barricaded a long section of the road on both sides... but you can still get around it.
The Maryhill road...
Wasn't this used in the Icon Drift 2 video? The Maryhill road
Northeastern Oklahoma: This was a detour to a new bridge built in the 60's over the Verdigris River . The highway was completed in the 80's and the detour was abandoned.
Lots of history within that road. I'm imagining the thousands upon thousands of vehicles and humans who traveled it for many years so many years ago on pleasurable journeys of all sorts and those not so pleasurable of all sorts. Moving here, moving there. Where were they going what were they aspiring to be? Accidents - another story. Imagine all the countless goods that moved as well. Highways; the stories they could tell.
This is the road heading into an old Indian Reservation. It's basically gone and just dirt and rocks now.
Sections of old Route 66 west of Albuquerque, NM near NM Hwy. 6.
This is part of the "big Bend" highway that used to be part of the trans-canada highway number one between Golden and Revelstoke in British Columbia, Canada
Parts of it just drive into the water.
Did the water levels rise or did the road sink. That's pretty cool!
This part of the big bend hyway got flooded when the Revelstoke Dam became operational in 1983.
Very cool area to explore.
