You could try, if you want... but I didn't That's near Lake Kenyir, in north eastern Malaysia. I had a Malaysian guy on the back of the bike, we were out looking for Hornbills (saw lots). We were sitting on the abandoned road, waiting... and I asked him if he'd ever seen a tiger. "No, but I've seen wet footprints on the road after rain". Where? "There" I just didn't quite feel comfortable after that. There was plenty of wild elephant shit on the road too. Here's one from Laos. I'd been along it on the big Katoom, a year earlier, with friends in their trucks, taking clothes to a remote village. Landslides killed it... scooter only now, although I took the 525... and was double the weight of anything else using these flimsy crossings over landslides. 400' straight down here, into the Mekong Another one in Laos. My GPS said it was good. It wasn't I'd come down it. To get back up, I had to let the tyre down and get off and push, with it in gear No-one around either... This was as far as I got. Flash photo.... damn dark on this road, in the middle of the day Another landslide. Only 200' this time... but that dark patch, upper centre, was a fresh slide. Again... I was twice as heavy as any other traffic. Always a pleasant thought, that.
