Ive posted pics before, but after a top end rebuild and rebuilding the carbs, my mighty '66 Yamaha YL1 has come back to life after a 31 year sleep. Can you say "ring-ding-ding-ding"?
1985 Gpz 750 Turbo
Still going strong and fast.........
Me and my GF leaving the mods&rockers rally in Cincy last year on my 93 1000s. Yes it's green and black.
The closest thing a four stroke can do to having a power band like an H1. When that boost gauge fills with black bars, you better have somewhere to point it. Nice stock ones are pretty much non-existant around here. I rode one in 84, when we got one at the dealership. Up until that point, I thought my GPZ550 was pretty quick. A sphincter tightening moment for sure.
This is exactly what Guzzi needs to build right now, mostly because I'd like one, with the 1200 motor, keep the paint and bodywork the same.
I'm waiting for a LeMans!!!!

Mercifully, the owner removed the chain, thus preventing that poor TX 750 from ever being ridden in public view.
perfect bike for key west.
here is my 50cc Hercules/Sachs from Nürnberg. It´s from januarary 1969 and it is still original. I found it on ebay, i cleaned it and now it´s on the road. Only 5,8 HP, but it goes over 80 km/h .
It was the dream of the germany youg generation ....
Hi compatriot from Dragonhill,
you are right: these bikes like Hercules, Zündapp ("es zündet und stellt ab), Kreidler and Maico have been the dream bikes of our young generation whenn we were 15 years old. I owned a Kreidler Florett of 1964 and couldn't imagine in that times what kind of big bikes we would have only some years later... It was incredibile what followed after.
Thank you for pics of your Schnapsglas-dream.
Mine after a 600 mile day (Huntsville, Al to Rose, Ok)
I wish I could get it to put the pic up without
Having to click the link. I'll keep working on that.
Anyway, Lester mags, Heinrich tank and an
Silly IT guy showing off.
