I have one just like the CB160 in the middle there.

Bought it from the original owner at his garage sale next to my house!

1967, all original, even the non-weather checked tires.

Had the original tool kit, owners manual and 1967 title from Montana (The DMV let me keep the old title when I transferred it).

Tag on gas cap said $500 obo....I offered $400 and it was mine.

Wasnt really looking for one, but couldnt let it fall into the wrong hands with someone that may not preserve it.

    :clap

    heres the good/bad.
good- has been dry stored in a cement floor garage for decades
    clear open title from 1973
tracey one piece body is excellent besides where he notched it for the sissy bar
    motor turns over
    shifts through gears
    throttle cable and clutch work.
    and it rolls
the inside of the fiberglass tank is pristine.
bad-as soon as the ethanol laced gas starts doing its dirty work that fiberglass is toast. cardwell's seems to make the best sealer to prevent the deterioration but i heard its not 100% either.
gotta get the yamaha front end/wheel combo off it.

You got a sweet deal, I paid big bucks for an original tool kit and am still looking for an owners manual. If that is the original seat don't recover it. There is a guy in florida who restores them, a restored one in perfect shape goes for almost $600! In 1964 I bought a new CB 160 (first year out) and rode it all through high school.

Yes, Im very cautious about the bikes care and feeding from this point fwd.

I can appreciate that its only original once and aim to keep it that way. :clap

I saw this at a bike night in Seattle last spring. Is it possible to love and hate a bike at the same time?

This was my first road trip. In 1965 we rode to Death Valley for a M/C rally, we left on friday morning and returned the next day about 11pm (725 miles). I am the one with the CB 160 my buddy is on a 305 Scrambler. I can't believe we did this as I ride around on my CB 160 now (not the same bike).
