I took delivery of the completed tank today. Now all I need is new gas cap and emblems for the tank.

The bike is 100 percent finished otherwise. I spent some time adjusting the chain and cables and checking all the details.

    Aaaaaaaaargh!!

I read every bit of this thread & drooled copiously on my key board taking in the work, to reach this point. I feel as if the doorbell has just rung when I've reached the vinegar strokes & the girlfriend has frozen.:rofl

Oh, there's a bit more. Lovely, Synchronized posting.

It took a while to finish, but well worth the wait to see this beauty. Anxiously waiting for it to go up for sale.

Is there a joke in there that I'm not seeing ?

This bike has been in my family for 41 years. It won't ever be for sale.

No videos of it running. I doubt I'll ever start it. It's full of fluids except for gas. The bike will be a display piece in the office of my powdercoating shop.

Big photo dump here so if you're on dial-up, you might go make yourself a sammich or something.

    Maybe so. (Shrug shoulders)

I bought it, I restored it, and I'm going to put it on display in my shop office. That's all there is to it. It's full of fluids except for gas. It would start and run if I put gas in it. That's all I need to know.

If I never intended to ride it, I wouldn't start it either. It's a perfect piece of art.

This is one of the best resto projects i have seen in a long time. You should put it in the living room in a glass case!. I am in the process of restoring my 1983 tt600 but i dought i can make it look like this beauty, I am too young (not enough experience).
