The plan is to head down the newly open tracks in the Alpine national park via the Davies Plain track, Misery track and Nunninong to Moscow Villa. These are through the beautiful Aussie high country.

A change in plan had us turning left and along the Limestone Rd for a few clicks then right down the Native Cat Tk. Right onto Nunninong Tk and another change right on to Garron Point Tk. This is adventure riding on the fly and we where about to find that out. Garron Point in a very steep decent into a Tambo river crossing called Hells Gate.

At this point I thought I'd add the route map. Red is Saturday and blue the route home.

We head along the last bit of Garron Pt Tk and at the next intersection get a tip to head along the Escarpment Tk, right onto Nunninong Rd. Fuel is a issue for Moggy but you can angel gear 10ks of Nunninong rd from the Escarpment track. We hit the tar and Swifts Creek is the closest and we lunch at Creekers Cafe. If you are bike rider, stop here as the ladies are welcoming, food great and well priced. Highly recommended.

The Swifts Creek servo was closed so down the road to Ensay. Little River Pub got our patronage and a local cocky told Moggy of a good camping spot. Apparently as it was a long weekend, everyone locally was saying, Moscow Villa would be packed. The rest of us followed Moggy blindly believing we would be close to MV. As you can see from the map, we actually road away from MV. The rest of the night was spent taken the piss at Moggy's only navigational task which he tollaly stuffed.

Up and packed up we head back the way we came then right along some track. Our maps didn't show all the logging road changes and we had a few trails to nowhere and back to the start. Eventually we strike our goal 'Moscow Villa'. As seems to be our lot, only one camper in the Moscow area and in the hut. The place was basically empty.

A chat with the hut inhabitant and a photo we're off to lunch at Omeo. Right turn up Nunninong Rd then left across Nunninong Plains. The track drops off quickly then opens into farm land. Photo opportunity and wheelie practice fully loaded.

We are full of fuel and punting up the Omeo Valley way heading for Taylors crossing. Some minor nav issues find us at the crossing with plenty of spectators. I believe it is sport in this area to set up camp and watch punters stuff up the crossing. It is one of those crossings you must do in an arc as there is a deep hole if you cross in a straight line.

Out to Uplands and left along the Corryong Benambra Rd right up Bresford Tk. This is a nasty little uphill climb with ruts and a inconvenient wombat hole. Right Turnback Tk and right Buenba Gap Tk to Beunba Flat. This is one of the sweetest track to ride anything on. Fast and flowing with a spoonyless hill climb. 4th gear in the meat. A re-gather and a quick bench race squirt up the Tom Groggin track.

The weather was closing in so we kept riding Up to Mt Anderson and along the ridge track Anderson Pinnibar.

Its a shame I've know idea if video footage can be shown but Rowdy did a top job of capturing the downhill run to the Murray River crossing.

Another crossing to be done in a arc

Rowdy here is starting to head for the hole so I switch to video. In the video he cops a lucky deflection off a rock and points him back to the shallows and he rides through.:splat
