    huh... Well what do you know...

    maybe somebody could tell me if all the Basics had a Paralever drive? I didnt know that, but I guess it makes sense.

    Yup, all the basics were paralever. They were made in 96 or 97. It almost seems like they were built to get rid of parts. There was also the Kalahari, which was a basically a basic with bigger tank, windscreen, etc...

    I almost bought a basic from a guy that brought one down from Canada, but it really isn't all that different from the early R100 GSs, except for painted frame and smaller engine. Really neat looking bike though.
