I ride alone often so Whitesnake's Here I Go Again is a fav.
"The Way" by Fastball
...and as an Eagles fan "Take it Easy"
Don't fence me in.
Rattlesnake Annie...the real deal, no phony country accent. Sort of a female Willy Nelson, Tours the world and makes albums with Russians, Czechs and Japanese country singer.
I ride alone
"Working On The Road" Ten Years After
George Thorogood and The Destroyers - Delaware Slide
Are You Gonna Go My Way...Lenny Kravits
Into The Mystic - Van Morrison
This song always comes to me during my motorcycle adventures. It brings me great joy as I revel in the sights, smells and sounds of the world going by.
A day of riding, a long, beautiful, empty stretch of new pavement - great twisties. I stop and take a picture of the bike in a beautiful meadow. Jump back on head out for more and the first song that pops up is:
Ballad of Easy Rider
Another good one:
Woody Guthrie Motorcycle song
Thank God for the Road - The Flatlanders
Dazed and Confused by Led Zepplin. Best in the twisties.
Ramblin Man ,The Alman Brothers
Ok, really eclectic collection of songs here, most of which I have loaded for 'first day' songs.
Often play them before I leave too...
Eagles: Already Gone
Eagles: Take it Easy
Styx: Best of Times
John Denver: Sweet Surrender/Forgotten Highway
Graham Brazier: Billy Bold
Garth Brooks: Friends in Low Places
Canned Heat: On the Road Again
Santana/Kroeger: Into the Night
Leonard Skynyrd: Freebird
Saxon: Wheels of Steel
Fatboy Slim: Because we can
UB40: 1 in 10
George Thorogood: Blue Highway (pretty much anything from him actually)
Supertramp: Take the long way home
Peter Gabriel: While the earth sleeps
Michael Frant: Hey hey hey
Tom Cochrane: Life is a highway
Smith and Harley: Ride to live
BTO: Roll on down the highway
Lots more but you get the idea...
"Willin'" by Little Feat
"Highway Song" by Blackfoot
"Green Grass and High Tides" by The Outlaws
'long hard ride' marshall tucker
My iphone has plenty of music and I play it often.
But quiet helmet time can be precious too!
"Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad" - Grateful Dead
"Amy" - Pure Prarie League (For some reason, the acoustic guitar line just rocks me through twisties.)
"I've Been Everywhere" Johnny Cash version.
The Who - Goin Mobile
My kids are in their thirty's now, but still remember when they were little we always started a road trip with Steve Miller 'Fly like am eagle'. Still a goto for me.
