Hi everybody, Right after our Transfagarasan&Transalpina trip, we were having 1 free week in Sofia and I wanted to leave the bike ('06) to the dealer for a valve check & adjustment. Today I took back the bike and they told me that my bike was in fantastic condition. I diagnosed that they haven't touched the crashbars at all and when I questioned I found out that they did not remove the fuel tanks as well. They told me that they have just removed the airbox (?) and did the job. (?) Altough I have two LC8's I have never done valve check by myself and somehow wasn't sure there to argue. And I had to pay them extra for checking my "spark plugs" (!) Altough I have never done this valve job by myself, I have read almost all the articles before. It seems quite difficult/impossible to check the valve clearances without removing the fuel tanks and crash bars. Now dear fellas, I want to hear your valuable comments before I send my complaining letter ( I don't know if they care) to KTM Austria. Is it possible to check the valve clearances without removing the fuel tanks on a KTM 990 Adventure??? Thanks!!!
