    If you had that sort of budget you could use a Toyota platform, load it full of features, luxuries and gadgets and have a big chunk of change left to afford the touring lifestyle.

    It would also be way more reliable and easier to source parts.

    If you want one to put a bike in the back why not spend 4-7k and get a stripped down military one.
