My brother and his adult son are getting brave enough to cross the border from California later this summer for a few days of paved riding. They're willing to ride gravel short distances to a destination, but have generally nixed the general idea of anything but Tarmac, blacktop, macadam, concrete, or similar surfaces. Darn. Brother is riding a Honda ST1100, nephew needs to buy or rent something-- he's talking about a R1200R. I'm planning on meeting them in Crescent City in order to escort them over the border and riding with them for three or four days. They'll be on their own for a few days after I head for home. Anyhoo, they have no specific itinerary or agenda. The only thing on their list at this point is Crater Lake and maybe Hells Canyon. If you were acting as guide, what other sights, sites, destinations and locations would you suggest? I've got a few ideas of my own but am looking for other thoughts. If there's more than two or three miles of gravel to get there, forget it. Thanks!
