    Fun easy riding.

BoomBostic, the road gets smaller and smaller. What a perfect day.

    Me!

We made it to the end. Snowbird ski resort is just over the ridge.

    Heading back down.

BoomBostic doing some yoga? Not sure which pose this is, worrior?

Water crossing, it was actually pretty deep and bumpy.

On the west side of Mt. Timpanogos.

I have never seen so much yellow. Just over the far ridge is downtown Salt Lake City. That's Lone Peak in the distance.

    We were loving it.

    South Summit of Timpanogos (11,000+)

What a great way to spend a nice fall day, better than sitting in church.

The Mrs. and I got married in that building many years ago. Still have a picture of it on the wall even though we haven't darkened the door of a chapel for a few years.

And my dad was born in Salina--first of his family to be born in a hospital rather than the living room.

Day one (286 miles) leave after work, Salt Lake City, UT to Craters of the Moon, ID. Nothing exciting, hot slab running.

    Arco, ID

"In town, the most striking physical feature is Number Hill, a rocky hill with numbers painted all over it. Butte County High School has a tradition of each class since 1920 painting its graduation year on the face of hill." -- wikipedia

    Craters of the Moon, Idaho
    [IMG]

Not sure what is being looked at here.

The "long" hike to the top of the crater.

We tried sacrificing the virgin, but it didn't work... said he was too old...

    Fiji, still looking good. Idaho
    [IMG]

We come in peace. Take us to your all your women ladies...

Day Two (~450 miles) - Craters of the Moon, ID to Glacier National Park
Hwy 93 to Salmon, ID - nice road.

    Out there.

Woooooo hoooo, they just laid down some chip seal'ish crap... kinda sketchy.

Hwy 35, East side of Flat Head Lake, MT.

Very nice views of the lake.

Yo, BoomBostic your rear is looking a little saggy, rear tire that is... doh!
Ya so we had to plug the tire at a gas station a few miles up the road.

Sorry boys, no room at the INN. Glacier Entrance.

Camping in Glacier - The air is a little moist and there was very close thunderstorm during the night.

    In Glacier Park.

    Going-To-The-Sun road.

    Place is amazing.

It's a good idea to watch where you are going.

Although it's very difficult to watch where you are going.

    Still Going-To-The-Sun road.

    Really cool.

"In the 1980s, the U.S. Geological Survey began a more systematic study of the remaining glaciers, which continues to the present day. By 2010, 37 glaciers remained, but only 25 of these were considered to be "active glaciers" of at least 25 acres (0.10 km2) in area.[4][49] If the current warming trend continues, all of the remaining glaciers in the park will be gone by 2030. This glacier retreat follows a worldwide pattern that has accelerated even more since 1980. Without a major climatic change in which cooler and moister weather returns and persists, the mass balance, which is the accumulation rate versus the ablation (melting) rate of glaciers, will continue to be negative and the glaciers will eventually disappear, leaving behind only barren rock." -- wikipedia

Very nice view, almost to the summit.

    Going for a hike.

    Are we there yet?

Exactly NOT the kind of sign I like to see.

    Somewhere out there.
