I finally got around to taking the footage from my Montana ride into Idaho and back. Me and my best friends did this back in July (09) renting from a guy named Guy - in Missoula, Montana Dual Sport Adventures.http://montanadualsportadventures.com/. We had a map and a tent and went thru the Lolo and Magruder trails; sleeping on mountain tops and along rivers finding our own water.....Best 4 day ride of our lives.
Cant wait to go back this year;^)

That was a fun video! I would like to know a little about how you put it together. I've not done any videos and would like to but don't know where to begin.

I've been dreaming nightly about my trip to the Magruder Pass and Lolo since reading another report last year. I'm wanting to tackle it in late June this year. I was planning on riding up, but how did the rental go? Would you recommend it? I'd sure have alot more time to play with if I could just fly in and out of Missoula!

Edit: He wants $655/wk + insurance for an old KLR?! Uhhh, I think I'll be riding up.

I couldn't tell from the video - did you guys have any fun? :lol3

Makes me want a KLR. It really is the best Adventure Tourer I can afford. And it will do the trick......

Thanks all!:rofl It truly was a blast.
My one friend, Sam, has never been off-road till then.....he was guy I yelled at and then yelled "8000ft Homey!" Dont know if you could here him as him yelling back " Get away! Get away from me!" too funny.
I'll post some pics up soon as well

I wud highly recommend Montana DualSport Adventures. Actually it was his post on this foru, that made me start looking for a place to rent. I think his handle is his actual name, Guy

....and yes I created it on a MAC. I gotta tell you- once you go MAC you never go back. Bought mine a couple months ago and love it!

    Jimmydeahn,
That is by far one of my favorite parts of the country. I never get tired of the Bitterroot Valley.

My wife wants to know what program you used on the MAC to make the video?

Sorry all- for some reason I'm not being alerted when someone posts on my thead:huh

rpervier- thats cool! How was your trip? Did you rent from Guy? When we went he gave a topo map and said "Good Luck!"

MMMOTORCYCLE- Thanks. I bought a Mac last Fall and the program on it is called "Imovie" It's intimidating at first but once you watch a few of their online tutorials it was simple

Man I need to update this with some pics! I use photobucket but I don't like how it shrinks my pics......whats the best one?

I need to update this one cuz in less than 2 weeks we're headed back to rent from Guy again, but this time we're headed into Frank Church Wilderness/ River of No Return :clap
