Randy Lusk a well know motorcycle promoter has died in a single vehicle motorcycle wreck and was found at 10 pm in a median. Not sure of the cause.
Randy sold Triumph, Suzuki, Polaris and other brands. He was one shop that would always let you ride what ever you were interested in no questions asked. He is going to be horribly missed.
Thanks for all you have done for the riding community, Randy and RIP.

Wonderful guy, a joy to talk to. Can't express properly how much I really liked him, his shop and I just loved it when I would come over to even just browse and he would say "The keys are in it, take it for a spin." My heart felt sympathy for the family and close friends of Randy.

I bought my Tiger Roadie from Randy last year. He was one of the reasons I settled on a Triumph. I also have Polaris and Suzuki and since buying my Tiger at Eldorado have them serviced there. I had developed quite a relationship and friendship with Randy over the last few months. So sad to hear this news.

I never met Randy but sold a Triumph in Western Kansas because of a poor dealer in Wichita. I talked to him many times on the phone. I'm from Ft Scott that is just 40 miles from his shop. I had planned to move back just to buy a Bonneville from him and have a good dealer. So sad to hear this news. RIP Randy.

It was always fun to stop and chat. Hope they carry on the demo ride tradition.

This can't be true :eek1 :cry

Randy is just an all around good guy. He could ride trials sections on a Triumph twin that would give guys on a Gas Gas a hard time.

The AHRMA events he used to host were some of AHRMA's best ever. This is just so sad :cry. His family will be in our prayers.

This is horrible. I stopped by his shop many times and chatted. He was a really nice, and very knowledgeable guy. I test rode a t100, scrambler and Tiger 800 roadie there. If I bought a new Triumph I was definitely going to buy it from him.

    RIP Randy.

So sad. I bought two bikes from him. He would even let me take the bike that I was test riding home for the weekend because I lived about 100 miles away. Words cannot describe how wonderful this man was.

Godspeed. I stopped in and visited his shop when I worked in Eldorado, ten years ago.

That second story reads..."Randy Lusk, 61, owner of El Dorado Cycle, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, from injuries suffered the previous day near Lawrence, Kan., in what is being investigated as a motorcycle crash and a gunshot wound."

Did I miss the part about a gunshot wound? Anbody have more details?

He was shot in the head and then crashed. There are rumors, out of respect for the dead and his family I will not repeat them. It will come out officially at some point. There are other sites you can search out and get the dirt if you are so inclined. I had met him, he seemed a very nice person, so I feel sad. Godspeed.

The whole story is a sad one. Life is precious and entirely too short. Be mindful of those around you who may react impulsively to difficult life events. Sad event for his family and those that he leaves behind. RIP.
