Picked up my postie last night. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

1998 model, needs some work. Looking forward to stripping it all down and giving it a good once over. I have some rather big (read: funny) plans for this beast. I need to find a manual so I can give the engine an overhaul, apparently there is something wrong in the cam chain department.

(sorry about the dodgy phone pics)

Gotta get stuck into the engine on the good one now and get the beast going.

The past owner doesn't really know what was wrong with it, he was just told there was "Something wrong with the cam chain and the countershaft something or other......."

Anyone got any ideas on what I should do?

Hope it works out well for ya mate. I had too many projects to get around to a postie rebuild. When it comes time I think I`ll just buy one from the auctions:thumb

Yeah thanks for that one Sidtrack :norton :rofl

I am wondering whether it is something that I can do or maybe just bring the "box-o-engine" to my moto mechanic and say "Fix".

For that matter, just wheeling the whole bike down there and tell him to get it running and riding.

This is Jodie, she's an 89 model with the retro speedo and the cdi pickup in the head, you can adjust your ignition timing with these old girls and get the most out of premium unleaded.

    Hi all,

You may have seen me posting a fair bit about the old CT110s latley. Getting quite fanatical actually.

Anyway, in all of my Postie info browsing and searching over the last six or so months, it is only now that I have found the Postie bike forum.

I thought I would help us out and put the link up there because it seems to be a hard one to find:

    http://www.postiebiker.com/

You can browse through the forum (link at the top of page) or register on the side.

I have no affiliation with this website, I just want to help us all out. (Greg, if this is not cool, just let me know)
