I bought this one as an off-road tourer but somewhere along the line I remembered how much fun the 650's are in the dirt. I am even thinking of taking it to Condo this year instead of the 400 :huh. Is it some kind of DR addiction .......... :dunno

Got myself one just before Christmas. A 92 model. An oldie but a goodie. Goes great and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I bought a DR500 new back in 1980, and riding the 650 brings back all those great memories. I've just flashed back 27 years. Bring on the dirt.

gday Mr Davor, great to see you have started a thread to identify those with an unnatural affection for pigs.
It looks like the DR riders of Australia are putting Mr Safari Tank's kids thru private school and uni and with a dad like that, they need all the help they can get.
What I really want to know is, do chicks really dig a bloke who can back pedal a bycycle?

Very True 'Hunsta', original it was/is a 1988/89 DR600R Paris Dakar, now a little bigger in the cc world from stuff by earlier owners..

134kg dry, 20lt tank (metal), chain gang sprocket, braid front brake, (note the rear disk is bigger than the front ?) heated grips, ktm front gaurd and folk protectors, risers, custom 'aus cumphy' seat, came with panier racks fuel and water tanks etc, alas some inner engine issues and mechnic issues, waiting for it to come home soon...
