They see me rollin', they hatin'...

To make it authentic, I wore my motorbike armour (I really did, btw), and thus no injuries, except for the impact on my pride associated with the mocking I received at the hands of the plethora of four-year-old roller-skating prodigies....

Glad your training run went well. Did you practice getting off the bike, taking a piss and getting back on the bike as quickly as possible?

Yes there were a few breaks... I do realise now that must have been scheduled exercise. Next time I will be timing it.

Good stuff, Neil. That's a big build step started. Wish I had a build area like that to work with.

HG, not yet mate. I'm waiting for the Safari Office to announce the mount plate ready to order. It certainly looks like the right setup for my simple crossbar nav gear setup. Maybe Don can let us know when it's ready to purchase? :ear

Dusty, CPW and WAR motorsports have come up with a crossbar mount solution I believe.

I should have another version of my own soonish and well get RS to give us the nod that it will work. That will be bar mounted too but won't have the adjustment in it that WAR's seems to have.

I tried ordering the RS stuff this afternoon but couldn't add the damage waiver to my cart. Emailed Chris and hopefully I can order tomorrow.

I am now at the stage where money has become secondary and the fact that my bike has to ship in about 6 - 8 weeks is the driving factor.. Its full steam ahead with the build.

Racing always gets like that. Don't worry about the cost until you've got nothing left to sell except your children for medical experiments. Sadly, I don't have any kids.

You guys seen the news that the Onslow Bivouac is out due to rejected land access permissions in the Pilbura area? Du'ya like <strike>dags?</strike> sand? 2 nights Exmouth bivouac. Hard times ahead. :huh :cry

Only 1250km from Perth Airport... Thats like from my home town in the middle of the Netherland, through the width of Germany and into South Poland...

Jeez, Exmouth, that's a world away.. Looks better then my local beach though :)

2 nights in Gascoyne and then 2 nights in Exmouth...... Ahh paradise....lovely beaches, BBQ's and beer, maybe not for you blokes...but the support boys will be right..... just need to find the best way to get the truck from Murchison to Gascoyne without using the 300 km rough dirt rd ( Carnarvon - Mullewa rd is a "bit "corrugated )

We drove Butchers track last week with the caravan it was in good nick sat on 90kph most of way. Looks like it has just being graded. Was approx 160km to Murchison ?? Road leaves NW Coastal Hwy just north of Billabong Roadhouse.
    Cheers

Road up to Butchers is only 14kms from Murchison, the other 290 to Gascoyne is the worry, most ofmit was pretty good, to drive around probably means a 600km detour :eek1

No need for me to worry about bike builts, spares and tyres. Let alone tank range and roadbook set up.

    My worries are over;

Can't believe it's that easy for you to get back into the country. :huh :D Well done. :clap You're going to enjoy this years event, fella. This will be something special. You're going to have a lot of fun with the action the team will bring. Bully's going to be the Head Teamster and bivouac wrangler. With the double up of two night bivouac locations, you might actually get to enjoy some of the countryside you've been blasting through the past many years. Don't let him lead you too far astray. (It's fairly inevitable :freaky:lol3 ) He really is a bad influence from all reports I've seen. :wave Looking forward to "The Gathering of the Cahns" :D
