yep, traded the 660Z and the R1... and am happy with the decision.. the 1200 has lots of low down punch which the R1 lacked.. so fun can still be had at "licence safe" speeds :deal

Nice bike. Followed one on our last snail trail weekend ride through Mt Mee and it handled and worked very well.

    Hi Warna,

Rode the new Super Tenere demo at TeamMoto Moorooka Yamaha today.

Man I thought my new 660 was good - that thing is awesome. I regularly ride my mates R1200GS ADV, just so he get's a chance to ride a real bike of course. I dislike that thing immensely and reckon the new Super Tenere is going to be a lot better option / better value than a GS.

Anyway, as soon we get back from the OCR, could very well be a one careful owner, never been ridden hard, never been on dirt (only mud, rocks and sand), low km XT660Z for sale.

    Cheerio - Ron.

All things being equal they should sell heaps of these. Hoping my Leo Vince will be on the way next week as well. Probably be here before the Yamaha Bash plate i ordered 4 weeks ago. Hey Ron i think they may be a good weapon for the LDR.

I love the idea of this bike. $10K cheaper than 1200GS. Reliability of a Yamaha. The consensus that it feel 'lighter'. Went to the demo day and only had time to sit on it and had to rush off.

Can any of you lucky owners tell me if there is a wait for delivery or are there enough in the shops?

    (I could phone a dealer, but forum-knows-best!)

Like and reads like a full on road bike to me, yamaha failed, calling it a super ten is a joke.

Nice bike and all but not a super ten.
