I hope this question makes sense.

    I own a Garmin 665. I have a Sena 10R installed in my helmet.

I want to be able to hear voice prompts from my 665 and receive calls from my phone (Samsung S7).
As I understand it I need to pair the 665 to my headset and then pair the phone to the 665.
    Or vise versa?

    Thanks,

It's been a while since I setup the BT on my Zumo 590, Samsung S7 and my Cardo Packtalk as you set it once and then they all connect when placed nearby each other as long as BT is on for all devices.

I think I have everything BT to my Zumo 590 as I hear gps navigation prompts through my Packtalk. I don't necessarily like to take phone calls but when I do get a call, my Zumo prompts me on the screen with caller ID or my phone's stored contact info, and I can simply chose to accept or reject. I don't recall ever just doing BT between my phone and my headset. I simply had the Zumo be the hub.

The Zumo can also lookup contacts from your phone when making calls from the Zumo making it much easier to use your phone using Zumo's large screen and again all through the Packtalk.

I also stream mp3 music from the Zumo sd card to my Packtalk and it automatically interrupts to provide gps navigation or phone.

Although you have 665, S7 and Sena, I would think that it should BT about the same.

So pair the GPS to my headset and the phone to the GPS......Correct?

I like the idea of dealing with just the GPS 90% of the time. I prefer to keep my phone in my tank bag out of sight.

    Thanks for the information.

Correct. That's how mine is setup. I normally just have my phone on and stored in my tankbag.

Paired my 665 to my Sena headset then paired my Samsung to the 665. Works perfectly.
