Weather was failry nice today, somewhat overcast with the sun coming out now and then. Better than cold weather so I decided to take my BMW for a ride.
I just recently aquired a 1975 BMW R90S from a friend and have been putting some run time on it to make sure all is okay before going on a long run with it.

So I decided to take a ride down to Intracoastal City, and Palmetto Island State Park which are just south of where I live in Abbeville Louisiana. When I left Palmetto Island, I took a ride over to Delcambre to see my Cousin before heading back home to Abbeville.
70 miles today and the old Bimmer never missed a lick. I can see a trip coming up once winter is over.

A few photos from todays ride, mostly of Palmetto Island State Park. They have cabins to rent and campgrounds. Pretty nice place, way back in the swamps with access to the Vermilion River. They are suppose to have canoe rentals also.

Welcome and great 1st post! Cool pictures, park looks nice for sure. I'm not a real big BMW fan, but I would make an exception for your bike, it's a beauty!

There were some RVers and Campers and a couple of cabins were rented, but not too many people around that's for sure.

    Zapgarou,

+1 on the great first post and cool pictures. I have a love/hate relationship with my F800GS, but really enjoy seeing the classic BMWs. Your bike is a great example, and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
