Damnation! That was one friken hot ride. Ellensburg to Waitsburg, never dipping below 100 (according to the gsa's schnozz thermometer) and hitting 113 crossing Hanford. All my crap is blasting hot still and I unloaded it 15 minutes ago.

    Got to love evaporative cooling.

I am hoping to explore over Hemlock butte ( near Pierce Id) towards Beaver Dam Saddle and the Lolo Motorway . Haven't heard if it is open yet. Since I haven't been riding much I doubt if I will want to do the Lochsa Lodge for lunch and back. I have done it once before and tried several times.

It's open , Craig McCurdy and Natalie just rode over it a few days ago and the flowers are blooming beautifully.

Great to know the flowers are out, I have got some good pictures up there, and now have a much better lense. Very likely have to work Saturday now, so more money in the bank and less time to spend it.

Mtseeker and I did a ride yesterday to the Northfork. We took back roads home and found this old school building that was ready to tip over.

Is the Anytime Tavern still going in Lewiston?
I'm dropping the RT at Mac's Cycle on Saturday and I have been craving one of those burgers for a few decades.
If the Anytime is gone what is a good suggestion for lunch?

The Anytime has closed, it is currently a Mexican restaurant.
Effie Tavern if you're looking for a big burger.

    Hello!

I am preparing for a big Adventure trip through the Americas. Just quit my job and sold most of my things and brought what small things still have up to my folks house in Moscow. I'm looking for a good bike to buy to make the trip (Ive just had a street bike and cruiser the last few years and sold them both). I'm checking around all the normal places, but if there any folks in the area who hear of a good ride going on the market - let me know! As soon as I find one, I'd love to join ya'll on some rides before I depart!

KC's on 541 Thain does pretty good, interesting burgers, Zany's are good, Main street grill ( same owner)

The Double Time burger was always the best, my cousin managed to order his friends one each with them not facing the grill and they were a bit surprised to see they each had a 2+ lb burger to eat. We generally ordered one for four of us.

Best thing would be to go to Fazarri's down the street from Mac's and get pizza, 1/2 Shabam at least , my other favorite is taco, house , shotse, wimpy.

Tom at Mac's (509-758-5343) has info on a used F bike from BMW (one of the Beemer Bunch). I have a KTM 950, Suzuki Burgman 400, and possibly '83 R80 for sale. Second on the Africa Twin. Mac's has two. Don't know what you really are looking for. It's a buyers market now, motorcycle sales are down this year for some reason.
