Based on Chickenhelmets kidney stone scenario, it may pass if I drink lots of water and give it time. Besides, I have a 300 smoker to focus on at the moment (among other things:D)

Good score Pete. That looks like the 'extra' tool kit there. The stocker was just a few basics, but there was always 'the big kit' available in the fiche.

About the only thing lacking in that kit of yours is a torque wrench :D

Hope the tank re-furb goes well. Let me know when you want to tackle the carbs

Also: i snagged some bits off an '87 R80 this week, the guy has a bunch more stuff left that will fit Betty :thumb

And also, Buzz must hold out for me to buy the fresh carb rebuild kits, sink 500 into a brand new tank, not to mention the quarter fairing, transferred Transalp tank bag, new brakes, hoses, an alla that. So with that being the case - there is at least SPRING to go through!

But before that - I get *at least* a 400 mile ride. :deal
Current Metzlers withstanding, that is. :D

That's the sort of shit I like except for the Hardley colors!
Man - am I banging it or what!?
Rode the TA about. Purrs and rides like a kitten. Lots of cool, yet weird, stares. Waiting patiently for the refurbed BMW tank. Life as we know it may come around again.
Awesome weather to boot. May be time to close the aperatures in my lil casa del rojo - regular weather is just too damn nice. :D.

aaaaand a weeeee bit more buffing....(yes I see that down there - no worries) Will be working on it here during this years TT. :-( I may or may not have this tank back in my possession this weekend), however, in lieu of that, I have to detail the frame, clean off all of everything I can get to. I bought a Clymers manual from another inmate this week - prolly wont rx in time prior to my careful excavation. Special care to cleaning of electrical connectors and wiring harness bits. Carbs to be carefully removed and prepped for rebuild, Frame cleanup may be not so deep as a perfect perfectionist would go, but I don't want to stand the chance of messing anything up that has been happily in place for 27 years. Cant wait to hear the stebel air horns honk, the lights light up, the blinkers blink, the instrument panel light up, and the starter wing over!!! (That may very well happen this weekend!) :D
