214HP!! 386lb!!(dry) Astonishing!! Both numbers are claimed, on Ducati's website, but they have a history of not exaggerating (lying) as most manufacturers do, so it should be top dog. Sounds kinda like a twin too. Nice video on their website.

Ducati certainly makes the best looking sport bikes in the business. They may be torture racks and difficult to ride near the limit, but they sure are beautiful.

I’m pretty sure I’d rather shoot my pinky toe off than do those fucking valves though. But daaaamn... that is a good looking bike!

Its currently the only bike in the Ducati line up that spins hard enough to actually need the desmo arrangement.

I don't like the area between the fairing and the tank. The piece that extends from the fairing to the tank specifically. That looks way too busy, and almost organic. Like stretched skin. Kind of gross.

    Group buy !
I need 20 or so like minded individuals to pony up a grand each so we can all meet at some of the better tracks around the country and take turns.
Say 5 laps to familiarize with the track , 5 to get comfortable with adding more speed and 5 laps to go for your personal best.
Bring more $ for the tire fund and gas.
No one is allowed to crash it !

You need to read the manual 'more better'. :-)

It only works at slower speeds than I travel.

Yup - works around town, not on the freeway. Odd implementation, but such is Italian engineering.

That said the '18 is supposed to use lean angle to help figure out when to cancel. It probably loses about 3hp though to provide enough power to do the calculation...
