I'm looking for a complete front end from a 1989-1995 GS, actually for my buddy who wants to upgrade the front of his beater G/S. We've looked at all the parts sources in Western Canada,,,seems like it could be tough to find. Who's the big used parts guy in North America right now?

Why not put some drz, kx, CRF, ktm, etc etc forks on it. There's a nice set in the big flea market now.

Ebay Germany has a few on there right now. The later GS fronts (91-95) have an easier to adjust headset setup but won't have the fork slider caps to mount the turn signals in the stock location like the earlier forks.

If possible you want the complete front end, with axles, spacers, rotor and the triple clamp stuff. I would be best to get the front wheel too. Get the hard brake line and caliper unless switching to a Brembo 4 pot. which I will have some very soon.

I have all them parts. Wheel should go to Woody's. Brake caliper has new seals, not tested yet and I have some reservations on that one re the "Phenolic plastic pistons". Rotor is good well within BMW specs for both radial/axial deflections and wear.

Too late today to dig them out and the wheel isn't here, no time to go back to the village.

Yellow legs...need powdercoating. Fork tubes are rusty but only between the triple trees. Too bad driving through Langley tomorrow but can't take the parts just in case they don't sell. Sister wouldn't appreciate going camping with my vehicle loaded with BMW parts.:rofl

I may have a few days in about a month to look at all that.:1drink

Sure...I will be away for 28 days with slow internet. I keep up with the emails as long as our system lets us. Just no time to dig up them parts before I go but I do know what I have. I can even deliver...depending on what I decide to do between July and October. Work or.....Ride!

if you want a tube rim Woodies does a good job of lacing a tube rim to the GS hub, but you can still use the GS wheel assembly as tubeless.
