Part #1 turned out not to be too bad last night. Interesting old footage and interviews with McQueen, Newman, and Garner. Throught it was going to be a fluff piece, but turned out ok..

Really well done. I too thought it would be a fluff piece, however I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't realize there would be more than one episode so I hope they can keep the momentum of the show going.

Racing is a pretty though business. I have known Alex Job for over 20 years and last year I worked as a wrench at the petit le mans for the Lotus Evora. The amount of money and effort that is required to support a car in one of these series is incredible (well over a million dollars). Not enough money was available this year and you don't see it anymore.

That weekend I remember seeing Patrick Dempsey as their trailer rig was a trailer down from ours and saw him interacting with his crew and ours and he came across as just another guy that likes to race. Probably better looking and with a bit more money and fame than most of us but just another guy.

I've met most of the "pro" road racing drivers of the last 20-30 years and at the track most of them are friendly and not just "Prima Donnas". Those you can spot a mile away and are easily avoided.

The hospitality tent for drivers and crews alone is worth "working" one of these week ends. Best food ever!!!!

Maybe if you 2 spend a little more time away from the porn sites, you might be better informed. Just sayin'. Saw both episodes and found them both interesting. Rainmaster now has me wanting to work next years Road America event (for the food :lol3). If not working, I'll want to attend.

I'm sure your rep as a crusty, old, bitter Bimble Fick is more deserved.

I had low expectations, but overall, I think they're doing a very good job on this show. Both the episodes shown so far have been excellent.

So is his teammate / partner. Enough to knock himself out (in their Porsche though). The reputation of the (now defunct) Lola is it's unforgiven to quick imputs of acceleration and braking. At least what I've read....
