If you want, we can carpool and split the room... but you might want to get your own room what with crying babies and shit. I think a room is $85, and I'm DEFINITELY playing a poker tournament while I'm there!

Maybe I can have the battle axe roll the truck and we can ride. It's been a while. That KLR needs to empty the gas and get re-seafoamed and whatnot.

Also, anyone who is thinking about the Brian Setzer show on the 23rd of December... the Spirit Mountain hotel is already SOLD OUT. Next best choice is the Best Western in Dallas, and they told me they were going to book up by the end of the week this week. So that's where me and Battle Axe Babycakes are going.

I don't know if I told you guys, but I fucking LOVE Brian Setzer. He used to roll a Christmas concert that my wife and I went to three years in a row, it's our favorite holiday thing to do, don't need not Christmas tree, don't need no sleigh, just some Gretsch '59 and a shit load of whey!

Couldn't think of anything that rhymed with sleigh at the moment.

    Who likes reggae? :y0!

Rebelution, Friday night at the beautiful and aurally perfect Roseland Theater near the culturally diverse near-in West Burnside area of downtown Portland. (No sarcasm there, I'm trying to sell it!)

Anyway, I know a guy who can get you in for free. But for doG's sake don't tell any ADV mods that he's giving away free tickets.

I'm in. If you want to go let me know either here or by PM. TourPros is on the road and may not see this so I'll let him know to get you on the list at the door.

Oh, and if you want to go to the YOU-jean show on Thursday the 23rd let me know.

I wanted to go see Hillstomp last night in Ballard but never made it off Capitol Hill. They throw it down!! Every time I've seen them in the past has been a party.

I'd like to put in a plug for my nephew's band, The Lovely Lost. They play all original music, no covers. They have a few shows coming up later this month at the Twilight Cafe on SE Powell on the 24th and the Ash Street Saloon on the 28th. I saw them perform a few weeks ago and even though I'm an old guy I think they're pretty hot. Check out their calendar on Facebook here www.facebook.com/TheLovelyLost/events or YouTube here www.youtube.com/user/thelovelylostmusic (their current lineup is in the most recent Mississippi Pizza video from Nov 4 ... there's a break around 2:55 where they really to start to rock). My nephew writes all the songs and is the lead singer. It's really hard for a band getting started to get gigs and audience, but I live 700 miles away so I want to help him out by digging into the local ADV inmate pool. Thanks.
