Thanks for a great ride!
Looks stellar! Good to see some big bikes doin' some serious muddin'!!!
Great pics again Erik. Thanks all for a fun ride! Good to meet some faces. I wonder how long that gate we first rode through will remain open. It's been open for a few months now.
Oh, and a to unlokr for mighty skilz in maneuvering that 990 through the mud pits.
Crap, this guy makes me look bad.
I'm not tall enough, strong enough, or rich enough to attempt that kind ground on my 950.
Oh yeah, I too should mention-
Cool ride guys! Next time let's wait until it's really wet so we can have genuine Oregon riding
I had a great time and it was good to meet you guys. Here are some pics:
Looked like a great ride! Next time I'll have to tag along in OR. I ended up going w/ HVman testing out Brown Camp (he started earlier ). But it looked like the mud was everywhere!
Can't wait until the next opportunity...
Thanks for posting pictures.
Hot Damn! Found some mud.
Glad me and my anakees sat that one out. Time to find some knobbies.
I didn't have to listen to a bunch of whiney cry-baby crap from RoadRash!
'twas a good time single track mudfest, ha!
Doing a coast range loop with some friends Saturday. Anybody else interested? Knobbies are a must and 100 mile range is needed.
Leaving McMinnville around 10, heading up through Ginger Creek, Hollywood, then down to Pacific City for some food. Head back through the Nestuca riding area. Probably looking at 6+ hours. Pavement, gravel, dirt, trails, whatever else we can find will be involved. Not a fast ride but not a beginner ride.
Oooh, I wish I could, but I can't. Thanks for posting up, Almost There. Some of you others should jump in on this ride! Herewith a bump to get noticed.
Why do great sounding rides always hit on days when my woman has a birthday! Shhh, but I'd WAY rather be riding than telling her she looks as young as the day I met her...
I do this loop all the time so I'll post up next time I'm going. Sounds like we only have 3 bikes but should be fun.
It might be hit or miss as far as the weather, whether it might be wet or dry -- enough -- but I have tomorrow (Sun) afternoon open and would like to get out for a ride. Off pavement, same drill. I can make a noon meet up, in NW Portland. Who's in?
If it keeps clearing up like this I'm in. My lights are out of service at the moment so I will have to truck out to the boonies and ride from there.
Those riding: Meet at Starbucks on NW Yeon at 12 noon.
NW Industrial Starbucks - 3275 Northwest 29th Avenue. Corner NW Yeon Ave (AKA Hwy 30) & NW 29th Ave. Left side of Yeon, as heading N. Take a left at the light at 29th. This is the light after McD's on your right.
Excellent ride 'krispy and I had today. No pics, too busy trying to keep up with him. We found steep, muddy uphills and downhills; creeks that needed crossing; hidden two-track in the woods; abandoned cars and shacks found by this ride in the past; questionable RV encampments and a big, black rottweiler who wanted to give us some sort of greeting that we didn't stop to accept. All this new stuff in an area we've ridden in before. It deserves further exploration. Over and out.
Anyone know what the weather is doing for Sat? I wanna do a ride, and have an opportunity for a single track ride on my 250 over in Carlton, but not sure I can make the time. I can only do Sat since the Superbowl is Sunday.
Mud on the ground. Sun in the air. Perfect riding... If you dare.
