I'd do Pine Mont wit' ya on Sunday. Lesser known is also Middle Mountain, essentially between Pine Mont and Binns -- it's a good 13 miles between PM an Binns. PM me coming your way.

So Jessie, Mark, and I are leaving Coleman's Rest at 9:30 should be a nice day up in the Tillamook State Forest. We will be riding easy trails and jeep roads, feel free to join us. I would recommend knobbys :D

I'm riding out but trailering shouldn't be a problem we can start and end at Roger's Camp

Are you guys riding dirt bikes or dualsports on Sunday? The wife and I are thinking about joining you if you don't mind?

I think it's gonna be a plated-dirt bike kind of ride. It's too cold out here to be moving at any speed, so I'd opt for trails. nw scout PM'ed me that he's tentative. If anyone comes out here I'll ride. How about I throw a dart on the wall and say noon at Pine Mont OHV staging? -- to give it a chance to warm up a bit. In any case the trails are gonna be icy slick in places. That should be interesting.

My 450 is plated but Debbie's 300 isn't. Maybe I'll ride my 690 and let her ride the 450? We've only ridden through the OHV area there during Black Dog. Are the trails any tighter than around Kingsley? I've ridden a lot of the single track there on my 690. It's okay for trail riding but kinda big and heavy for the real tight stuff.

Tom, you two should come out with the 450 and 300. We'll do OHV trails only. Susi and I actually stopped by Pine Mont on our way down from the mountain today, and walked the trail a couple miles in, just to check it out. The trails are in very good shape for the most part--nice sticky chocolate, with very few muddy spots--but there are some short sections in the clear where it's rutted frozen mud. All in all much better than I'd have guessed. See you tomorrow. (FYI, Susi unfortunately won't be riding with us tomorrow.)

Okay, my turn to back out. I've been sorta sick. Just getting over a cold and thought I was better. Did some work on the bikes and then on the cleaning up behind the barn. I wore me out and brought back my cough. Better stay home and get better. Maybe next weekend if the dryish weather holds?

Ride out down through the power lines and there are some new trails they have flagged out. I rode them a couple weeks ago and they need a little help to get established. Lots of fun though, and great to see they are expanding the area.

Met up with LoudAl and Jungleman for a little trail riding. LoudAl played navigator which was great, I just followed along...mostly, thanks Al. JungleMan, as always is a pleasure to ride with - How was the surfing anyways?

Gotta watch yer stup up there

Was nice to get above the soup for awhile

The higher we got, the warmer it got. Had to be in the 50's on this south facing slope. Could see hood way off in the distance over a dirty grey layer of humanities finest.

All the bikes did great. I think I probably had the most downs, but not the most dramatic. Nothing like battle scars.

Most trails were pretty good, steep muddy climbs that are easy in dry conditions have...er...changed.

Youngblood had the fortune of seeing Al's line.

Hope you made it home safe Al, I suspect the night ride home was better than the icy ride out there. That last climb up to Rogers Camp was "slick" this morning. JungleMan and I chickened out and drove. Trails were in great shape, but a little frozen as the bottom of the canyon in the am, not a fast day, but a fun day.

Just got back from picking up a new trail bike :clap
Got tired of beating up my 610 on the singletrack so I found a sweet
    250f for cheep.
Need to go thru it a bit before I take it out, so I wont be able to hit Hood River.
But I do plan on getting out to Diamond Mill. Hoping to be there at noon.
Trails only and looking forward to riding a smaller lightweight bike for once!

WR250F? The more I ride in the woods, the more that bike seems like an ideal woods weapon.

It was a great day for a ride, didn't get to many pics. My camera decided it didn't want to focus for every shot :D

It was a little chilly to start off

One more thing, make sure you have a valid OHV sticker even if you are from Washington :D

I got in 40 miles of singletrack on the new ride today.
Hit lots of new trails and the new bike ran great.
To good in a way. For sure want a WR250 if I can find one. The YZ is just a bit to fast for this old guy :D

    Gotta love those iphones!

No, those are from Diamond mill.
I made a 40 mile loop north from Diamond Mill, then west, then south to Cedar Creek then out towards Jorden Creek and back.
Got a little lost once and had to backtrack a bit. Good thing I backtracked, as I was two ridges off of where I thought I was. If I had kept going I would have ran out of gas and still be out there :huh

So much new stuff out there! I had passed some of it on my 610 in the past but it was to steep for me to try with a big bike, but with the little 250 i ripped right up and found tons of new single track hidden away :D

    Anyone heading out tomorrow?
I should be free at noon and plan on either hitting the cost range.
    Anyone interested?
