Boy I missed out what a beautiful day. Catch u guys next time.:huh
I finally rode on a Sunday... you guys finally got to me, blue haired ladies be damned...
All the way to work.... It was sure hard to make that last turn to come here
Pretty mountain - I like it.
I plan to do some riding this weekend out and around Hood River / White Salmon this weekend. My bike is out there, I will be driving out late-morning on Sat. I'd like to do some DS exploring on the Washington side Sat afternoon. Any suggestions? I plan to ride some single track at Post Canyon Sunday morning. Oh, I'll also be spending Sat night out there, if that wasn't obvious. PM me if you are interested in riding.
I'm in for Saturday, PM sent
I'm out for White Salmon. Anyone want to ride elsewhere.
"I'm IN" at 5:56
"I'm OUT" at 7:11......HHHMMMMMM
Gee, are you married?
That reminds me of another inmates sig line (I forget who):
"Does your bike complain when you're inside riding the wife ALL DAY?"
I have to be back Sat night and you guys are only heading out at 3:00.
Maybe next time....I'd like to ride more out that way.
To update and clarify, AppleJam and I are going to ride out from White Salmon at 3 pm on Saturday. We'll see what we find, perhaps more off tracks that Black Dog took a couple weeks ago. That's the sort-of plan. Anyone else out there wanna join us?
Fortunately, my wife is working Sat nite. That's the only reason this is working for me
Re-traced some of Black Dog Day 2 with Matloik Yesterday, who was lucky enough to miss out on the mudfest from two weeks ago.
We got a view from the top of Nestor Peak of Hood River this time. Excuse the crappy cell phone pic
The first "old two track" was 98% dry now, and a whole lot more fun for my beast. Matloik steered us onto some fun two-track-turned-quad trail that was cool. Saw this section of collapsed lava tube that I had missed with my hands glued to the bars and my eyes glued to the road two weeks ago.
Then we finished off the evening at Everybody's Brew Pub in White Salmon. Had a great pork sammich and some decent British Hard Cider from a can.
Wish you were there, Cheers, -Jeff
Thanks for the ride, Jeff. BTW, looking at my GPS tracks, that two-track starts ... [EDIT: Not sure if this was private land, as some Black Dog routes were, so I won't divulge its location]
I actually found some bona fide single track up in Snowden, north side of White Salmon. Just happened upon it this morning when I ducked onto a powerline road. It was somewhat marked and well ridden. Not sure who's land ...
I will be out in White Salmon / Hood River the entire week prior to July 4th weekend. I do plan on some riding, in addition to my normal staple involving wind and water. I'm up for anything from FS roads to Post Canyon single track. If anyone has time off, come out and ride!
DAMN YOU MATLOIK! Now I have to take a day off that week to RIDE with you again .
You are missing this Fun Weekend Coming Up in Hood River, however. Some wives are coming, hopefully to keep each other company while we ride!
