Looks like I'm in, see you in Sandy at 8:00. Assuming I wake up in time, otherwise see you on the trail.(don't wait)
Oh, man, I wish I could join you guys.
I'll spring for mcd's if your on time.......:eek1 Don't blame me later in the day when you regret the mcd's tho.
Any of you Saturday Barlow Riders gonna camp the night? Some from the Salem group are, and me too. Then ride some Badger Lake Wilderness border roads the next day and make an adventure out of it.
I'm packin' Fajitas, enough for about 5 or so! Marinating tonight.
And I've got plenty of coffee for the morning for all. Stuff for lunch, I'm all set.
Will not be overnighting, commitments on Sunday.
Ditto, gonna have to bolt early sat need to be back to sandy by 1:00pm. got wife and daughter campin on baot with me sat night.... Gonna be a great night on the water...
Ya all have fun.
Ya know, as I'm checking in this morning before the ride (leaving in 45 minutes), I looked outside and said to my wife........
I'ts gonna be a good day, today
I think we'll have fun
Huh interesting mine my wife said "if you wake me up your a dead man"! Yes tho a great day ahead.
Great ride today. Had to cut out early but still good ride to little crater lake and Timothy lake. Fun ride home 80 most of the way. Thanks apple jam.
Hey 88toyota will pm soon for some loll pass fun. Nice to meet ya. You too Toni. See you guys soon wish I could have spent the day up there. Pretty warm when I got home tho. Good luck keeper cool
It was a great ride. Good to meet and ride with the Salem area folks. Many split ways after Wamic, but BrandonR and I returned to hiway 35 via Barlow trail again. I then hit Still Creek road down to Welches and then home.
Did 250 miles with 7 hours ride time. I need a better seat. Yes, it was a little warm, but not quite HOT yet.
Thanks for setting this up Apple Jam, hope you have a good campout and get your bike sorted before the Squatch. Asrvivor, hope you can escape a full day next time.
Luke, Loud Al and me could see some of the dust you guys were making on Barlow rd from the top of Triangle Butte out in Diamond Mill. Could see most of the rest of the known world too. The only other human that got close to our location was in an airplane.
L Al donated a turnsignal to the D Mill gods of the earth, we all rode some awesome single-track & elk trails, up hill, mountain and down dale. Butterflies and flowers up high, dust and heat down low. 2 smoking thru the woods is still a huge piece of freedom!
Best part is we all got to go home in air conditioned comfort while we were thinking of you poor SOB's cooking in line on hwy 26 thru Sandy.
Great ride yesterday. Wish I could have ridden back up the trail, but had to be home for a wedding and then a 21st birthday party at Bushwhackers
asvivor, I will be out of town next weekend, and this week will probably be busy getting ready to leave. Maybe the following weekend we can get together and check it out. I don't know the area really good, but I have found at least one great power line road where there is a small pond similar to little crater lake, and an awesome very long hill climb with a nice twisty paved road back to the bottom. I would like to get over to the riding area over in Hood River too.
Lot more logs in this one, but very clear water. Looks more impressive in person.:eek1
Pm me when young get back I'll be ready
Anyone else the wife is going to NY for some training next saturday. So Sunday I am available for all day, can we plan something? Matt are you up what about Simeon? Ray, anyone? Little early to plan I know but not often I get whole weekend for bike. Could even go to beach house in yachts or clover dale and crash after sat then ride more Sunday. Come on boys and girls jump on board......
I will be away in Gods country
I may be very dirty when I return to this state. Thats all I am saying about that...
You don't even know how other riders' day really went,
but you KNOW yours was BETTER.
It can't really get any better than that!
