Got delayed the other day for deicing, missed my connection, ended up getting a direct flight instead! Winning!
Got there hours before I originally planned thanks to the delay :lol3

I call BS. Shit like that just don't happen. You obviously didn't tell the airlines or they would have rebooked you on next days flight. :confused

When I was flying all the time and had some clout with the major airlines (mainly delta) they were most accommodating. Now nobody recognizes me and I’d like to keep it that way!
Now, if I could just stop staying in hotels enough to quit getting hand written Christmas cards I’d be able to ride some

Hey I remember those! I spent so much time at 2 particular Hilton properties that they were sending me chocolates for Christmas. Ya know yer spending too much time at a hotel when every front desk worker in the place knows yer name:eyes

Yep, and at the Montgomery Hilton Garden Inn, I even got a free beer at check-in. That was the same place where the barmaid would serve me gin martinis in a water glass, and damn near fill it up. That’s a lotta gin for $7! Place treated Diamond members right you think I’m lying?

Interstate Pkwy, Perry Hill exit. For a while I was spending a night there every week, had an RV dlr in Montgomery I had to keep a real close eye on. Keep in mind I haven’t stayed there in 8 yrs, things might be different now—but I’ve never been treated so well at any other Hilton property. That place set the standard!:deal

So you’re saying It was a different time in America?!?

The Hampton I stay in when I’m in Norcross (30-40 nights a year) I’ll often be met at check in with a couple of cold yuenglings because they know I’ve usually been on the road all day, and could use em!

Yep, prolly a different time in America. I know one thing--being a Hilton Honors Blue member (which I am now) doesn't mean Jack Schitt, and that's the quintessential truth, Ruth!:deal

A couple yrs ago I was riding home from VA and hit some Dark Clouds of DoomTM in Murphy NC, and stopped at the Hampton Inn there on Hwy 64. Walked into the lobby, flashed my Blue card, and asked if I could use their guest computer in their "business center" to check the radar on weather.com. They grudgingly let me into the business center, but acted like they were doing me the world's biggest favor. When I did that exact same thing back in my Diamond member days, they'd not only let me into the business center with a smile, they'd ask me if I wanted them to make some fresh coffee. Oh hay-ull yes
