    Keeping the theme alive (kinda).

The covered bridge that stood here was built in the 1889. It was damaged by arson twice in 2002 and subsequently dismantled. I used to jump out of the "windows" and into the stream in the 1980s.

Here are some more pics from today and some old pics from when the bridge still stood.

The actual bridge from roughly the same angle:

    Happy tagging!

Jeez! That's 211 miles, 3 1/2 hours each way from my driveway, plus allowing for snow and ice over Sideling Hill on the turnpike and on I-70. But if those are clear and dry, hmmmm.....

Oh, it's sleeting! I think I'll wait for another day.

What a shame about these disappearing covered bridges.

Of all the stupid places my tax money ends up going, why can't it be used to maintain these beautiful bridges.

The reason they lasted so long was the fact that they were covered. It's a damn shame.

    Nice drop Grape.

The sign is there to advise the 18 million water trucks that are running all over SWPA not to vac water out of the stream. There is a lot of fracking going on around here. Look at a recent satellite image of the area. You'll see lots of well pads and lots of frac impoundments.

I think the tag needed a bit more info to be fair. Hint: Look at the web address for the photos. But you better hurry. More white stuff's a-comin'!

Greg grabbing a tag is like getting a pic of bigfoot on your game camera.

I've said it here before, but this is why I don't play this game any longer. IMO, it's silly to give convoluted clues that turn it into a Google game instead of a riding game. Too many tags were inaccessible to me not because of the distance or terrain, but because I couldn't wade through the clues given and/or wasn't good enough at Googling. What's the point in that?

If tag info appears insufficient, just ask for more info! That's what I do when stumped, but I don't mind a challenge.

    Hope you change your mind.

That sounds like a sticky situation. I have found that some people are afraid to give obvious clues because it enables somebody from out of the immediate area to come grab it and take it away.

I actually lost interest in TOR too since I don't have a PHD in Clue Cracking. I did find this bridge, its about 20 miles away. Thats what I figured since I know where Grape Ape is from :)
