Welcome to the madhouse...
We have all kinds if rides here. Some are pure street (Beast Rides) and some are mostly dirt with some pavement. We have some who like to explore with moderate speed.
What you see brewing for Sunday is what we call a "fast burn" ride. Mostly 530EXCs and other dirt bike types. These rides cover the worst Eglin and Blackwater have to offer and are not for the faint of heart. We however NEVER go over the posted speed limits...
You best bet is to join us with one of the Beast rides through Blackwater. There are gravel roads and forest service roads that will handle the 990. We are in the process of have a big BMW event that will cover both twisties and easy off road.
You might want to read Post #2 which will give you some more info on rides and meeting spots.
I may be doing some weekday Beast riding at Blackwater next week if you can make it then.
spec pond is off 285 right? does the ride bring you back to starting point? just thinking about truckin my bike there this time.
Hey Dirty, Spec is off 285 south of I10 a few miles. We do a loop so start/stop is at Spec
Hope to see you there.
Reid can you help me play with the clickers on Sunday as we ride?
Got my base line set up.
honestly....its ok if I dont sell it....
PS.....I have sometime Fri pm for a ride or beers or .......holler at 982-4320 or text
I'll helped much as I can...
A must do.
Things change and evolve.
Got 3 sections that I want to scout/incoorporate.
This time, we're doing several miles of the Kentuck ORV park. Check map to get a idea of taking a right off the ORV Park road onto the White trail and ride the western side of Kentuck going south.
Take a right on the Blue trail and then the Orange trail and hop back on the kentuck road going south.
Next section is the area north of Old Mill Covered Bridge. We're had several fubars there. Nobody complained and some perhaps didn't know it was fubar cause we were having so much fun while we were lost.
Next section is secret.
Said all that to say this:
I need/could use a rider or two to go along with me. Ain't gonna be easy and I understand if your not a morning person cause this will be a one day trip for me.
Up/leaving at 4am NEXT SATURDAY MORNING and back home in the same day.
Done this many times back when Bayron K. was laying the Cheaha Dualsport Route out and I was assisting.
There's a good article in todays PNJ about the Whiting OHV park
Thanks for the heads up Wayne.
Maybe this link will work about that article:
SO....my "Colorado Ride the Range 2012" video is finally complete and up on Youtube. The video is set to private to protect the names of certain areas/ST that we rode, at the discretion to not clog up certain riding areas that individuals from the SW CO area helped me with. Of course, Youtube degraded the quality of the video to 480p and my IMovie '07 doesn't have an HD/1080p function (only 960p), so the online quality is that much worse from flat screen HD quality, but you get the point. If you would like to view it, PM me your email address and I'll add you to the list of viewers. If you don't have a Youtube account, you'll need to create one to view the movie...but that's simple and easy.
Vic, you are already on the list since I had your email address already.
Here's the vid
duuude, thanks for the link. :eek1 now I know what to replace the drz with in about 5-10 years when the used tiger market comes down to my range
what time are we meeting on sunday
Cheesy riders and video by Icon.... . Not like your going to see these guys or the bike at the Paris-Dakar rally anytime soon. Unless they can meet the 450cc standard. Although it is a cool setup, love the GPS screen on the bikes if its real.
Just my 2cents...
It could be raining pussy & some people would find one with a dick in it.
i got a bad feeling about this
Enjoyed the vid mang!
Well, I like all the Icon vids. This one is cool to me because I lived about 2 blocks from the Rosegarden in Portland for about 3 months last year, rode my mountain bike by the river, and my DR in Tillamook Nat. Forest. Visited the dunes south of Portland too. I recognized quite a few landmarks. Pretty badass shots and riding too. Who knew? Cheezy is the new cool...
