Oh, he's special all right. For example---I told him that he shouldn't do the ride in his jammies and house slippers. As you can see from the pics, he didn't listen to a damn thing I said.

Just to prove we actually made it to Barber's..........

The KTM's, IMO, are the best looking bikes in AMA pro SBK

Larry's EBR sounds awesome and was picking up the front while breaking loose at the rear coming out of Charlottes Web. Too bad it and the KTM's were nearly 2 seconds off pace of front 3.

I think the picture I can relate to the most is,,,,,,,,,"I'm get'n too old for this shit"

I agree those KTMs look pretty sweet.

You can watch the race recorded via the AMA web site and http://www.fanschoice.tv/watch-live/ama/roadrace has it live.

Mr Gimmee Cousteau shows us all how to cross a mudhole

Notice how he inspects the obstacle before his most graceful water crossing

Gimmee, hope your scoot is ok after you flush it a few times!! Thanks for the use of the trees on your campsite. And my friend appreciates you bringing out the TPS dongle to adjust his bike! :thumb

And the judge from Florida gives him a 9.2. With the degree of difficulty factored in Mr Gimmee Cousteau would have had to nail it to get the gold.

Better luck next time and I hope both bike and rider are uninjured.

Maybe he should do like me and ride in the back so that when you crash nobody sees it and you can claim it never happened?

Well I guess I have to thank you Gimmee for taking the spotlight for a change!! Damn. Hope your bike is ok. After emptying a few 2-strokes of water, no big deal; but these new thumpers seem to be a little less forgiving.

After Vic's ordeal and now this, if there is any doubt about the bizarreness of "water hazards" I think we can put those to rest. Riders beware...

Many of us while riding on public land in Florida have been checked for tags. Happens occasionally over here in the ANF.

But have any of you also been checked for registration documents that would show that the tag on the bike was actually registered to that bike? Or in the instance of riding solely on the authority of an OHV pass, have you been required to show evidence of ownership.

    Thanks for any info.

Had a great weekend. Gimmee, Waysherr, Allaces, Tim, Papa Wheelie and Dr Philgood (along with some Gimmee and Waysherr wives) showed up for camping, food and BS Saturday night. Special thanks to Papa for cooking outstanding grouper and thanks to others for slaw, potato salad baked beans and etc. We had a great evening and it wasn't too hot.

Satruday morning we were joined by Mike55, Flirting with Disaster, and Brad.
Flirting lived up to his name and to a bad crash, but was ok except later he realized he no longer had is phone and some other essentials due to ripped gear bag. He headed back early.

We carried on until Gimmee went swimming. He retired after getting bike restarted. The rest of us when on for a few more miles but the heat was getting up there and we returned after only 40 miles or so. Still a great day.

Attached is longer version of video. Sorry no captions or music. Hope you enjoy.

I used the same "collar" from my 08 without issues. I have had the same GPR for about 8 years now... just rebuild it every so often.

I have never been checked for more than plate and permit (if Eglin). No one has ever questioned, registration, insurance, turn signals, DOT tires or noise.
I think gray hair and general respect for the LEO make a tremendous difference.

My experience anyway.... oh BTW we are never doing anything really wrong so I would not expect problems.

Been checked for tag in Blackwater. Checked for tag, drivers license and Eglin Range Permit on Eglin. Never had them ask for my registration.

I shrank a copy of my registration down to the size of a credit card and laminated it and keep it in my pocket with my Eglin Range Permit, my Drivers License and a laminated piece of paper the size of a credit card that has my name, emergency contact info, blood type, and current medications listed just in case somebody finds me wrapped around a tree in the middle of nowhere.

In my other pocket I have a cell phone and nitroglycerin tablets.
