Spiders.....they are out in full force. Went for a ride on the electric bike on the Blackwater trail that starts at the intersection of Red Rock Road and Juniper Creek and I took out 10 or so big webs in the first mile. Finally quit and let the spiders have it.

Did a little research (imagine that) on spiders to determine if it would be better to ride late in the day or first thing in the morning....i.e. after somebody else took out the webs. Turns out it takes a spider about an hour to build their web so basically there isn't a good time...just don't be first in line :lol2.

I sure miss Vico1 leading rides...I just thought I liked riding with him because he had the track and knew where we were going....now I realize he deserves a medal for being the "Spider Man" as well :nod.

Awesome. Thanks. We'll have a home base so just looking to explore and go back to camp at night. Several folks have mentioned suches so we'll have to get around there for sure.

Sounds like a great plan, I would be happy to man a check, as Tony said with some help

Covered around 65 miles of Black Water this morning with ThumperNoob and SR56. We ran everything from wide roads to "SPIDER" track...I mean single track. Saw a few deer, turkeys and some rabbits along the way. We ran thru some new to me territory, I really enjoy exploring the forest!

One of those out of the way ponds.

ThumperNoob and Twisted Chain did a great job leading us around Blackwater this morning. When we rolled at 7:00 it felt pretty good...by about 9:00 it was OK if you were moving but if you stopped it got hot quick. All in all a good day and the best part is I can say I didn't crash for the first time in a while :-).

Converted the WR Motard back to D/S for some nice mixed surface riding in NY & NJ. Rode with 2 old buddies today. Too bad Inept wasn't with us - we could have had the Full Rainbow of Japanese D/S.

If there is any interest for the "Time Keepers Mini Enduro" I think we can set one up fairly easy.

Routes by GPS or even Roll Charts to make it old timer friendly. All checks would be secret and easy to reach. The focus is on seeing Blackwater without being EARLY to a check. Remember you wont know where the checks are so you must ride the pace at all times. We would need check point operators or devise some type of honor system (not sure there is any honor among racers).

We could do this for the upcoming Trot... Is there any interest?
    I will post there also.

    I'm interested.

    image.jpeg

Somehow, need to make it easy as possible.
Hard to type this out in a easy to understand way but I'm thinking that clocks posted in woods should have row minute corresponding to when the rider should arrive.
    Example:
Row 2 riders should arrive at each
clock in the woods at 12:02.
Each clock hidden in woods along route will be synchronized with key time clock at start and depending on mileage at hidden clock, they will bear witness when rider should arrive at that check.

    I got arm pump already.

I got to ride with the "BIG Dawgs" today! They waited on me :) It was GREAT to be on the 250 again! I needed the attitude adjustment. The weather was great! The rain kept us cool most of the ride. Great ride except for a hole I found all of studden,,, front wheel went right in it! Thank God for my Chest protector!

Thank you guys for letting me ride with you all! [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Hello all,

Im back on this side of the earth. Just got the bike back into shape and went out on sat and sun around eglin to get my "sand legs" back underneath me. My neighbor, Jason went on sat and OG joined us on sun.
Saturday was great, sand was mid packed from the rain with zero dust. Sunday we delayed about 20 mins for the thunderstorms to pass. The skies were supposed to clear after that... :jack well.....they didnt and it spit on us pretty much all day, but that was actually a good thing, we were wet for sure but NEVER hot. Riding in the AC was OG's statement. It did stop raining for about 30mins so that is the picture below.
Looking forward to riding with you guys.

My best friend from back home got me these. One for everyday riding and the other was my "bday/retirement" gift....belated :-) Thats for the street rides.
They are pretty cool. U can design anything u want. I think around the $30 mark. Easy on and off, wash when they get dirty. Tons of ready made designs as well.
