My brother(left) and myself after last years 24 hour.

Out 6 rider team went down to 5 when a death in the family kept one away. We went down to 4 riders when one guy was a no-show, went down to 3 riders after one guy done just 4 laps, then down to just 2 after dark....from 9:30 pm to 4am my brother and I kept the bike moving....but by 4, we were DONE !!!!! We both took a nap, then rode a few more laps each before the finish at 10am. The bike looks, and lasted, better than we do.

I wonder how bad the damage from the tornado that went through there last weekend is. If things go well I may come over, camp and watch the race. I don't have a bike that can run lights anymore so no racing for me. and I've been out of racing to long to just hop back in. I got a friend that normally has to work the track, so I may come hang out with him.

Y'all running the XR400 again this year?

I'll be riding the same bike, although in the 40+ Ironman class. The team thing didn't work out to well last year. I'll be going at it alone this year.

I Wish you luck Al.. It will be my 5th year at the event,PM is one of my favorite.. You guys are lucky to have such a well put on event in your backyard.. I usually race them, but its a bit far to bring a bike and all the stuff (people ) it takes for a good ride. Stop by and say HI..

Ok so youve got my attention, where, when, how much is this race? Also what kind of terrain and Im assuming its a large loop that you just repeat for 24hrs? Ive just got back from the Tuareg rallye in Morrocco and looking for my next adventure. If I was to put together a team can we only use one bike or could we have a second set up for the night riding period, same goes for if I ironman it, could I use a second bike at night??? Sorry about all the stupid questions but Im full of them.

Terrain is typical SouthEastern U.S. although a bit more sandy than I'd like. They'll have a loop 9-11 miles, race runs from 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday. Classes for Ironman(one rider), Duo-class(2 riders, can use 2 bikes), team class(1 bike, a second backup bike that'll be impounded, if backup bike is used you're out of the money, still can PLACE, but no money winnings), same bike used day and night.Up to 6 riders on the team classes.

Ironman is one-bike/one-rider, day and night....

First weekend in June. Ironman is $100, teams $375...I believe....

    It's a good time...:freaky
