Signed. JBLM traffic is ridiculous around 1630 till 1830. Nothing worse than sucking exhaust on a stand still traffic jam.

While the person starting this petition likely means well, the target is wrong, for this to have a chance you need the following on board:

Curtis King, Co-Chair Senate Transportation Committee
Tracey Eide, Co-Chair Senate Transportation Committee
Judy Clibborn, Chair House Transportation Committee
    Rob Huss, WSP Legislative Liaison

Is your feel that this sort of proposal would be dead on arrival in the State House and Senate? Or would this actually be something worth pushing for?

Forgive me for being ignorant, Is lane sharing the same as lane splitting, IE going between cars like California?

I don't know at this point, but if the WSP stongly opposes it, it's not going to stand a chance.

Yes. Lane sharing is the legal term I believe.

This is less likely to pass than a repeal to the helmet law.

That said, good luck and wish you well!

in CA it works well... even if they pass the law and tell me I can do it up here, theres not a chance in hell Id be lane splitting in WA.. these drivers don't expected it as they are not used to it at all. I see carnage all over the hiways for awhile if it ever passed.

The passive agressive drivers in the PNW will never stand for it, even if legal.

Think long term. They may not like it now but eventually the new drivers will be taught that it is indeed legal and in the future it will be normal.

Honestly, I don't feel the need for lane sharing 95% of the time when I'm on the highway. The times I'd use it most would be at stoplights or when traffic is at a standstill.

You say that like douches are restricted to one region. Find me an area where douche baggery isn't prevalent, and I'll pack up my bags now.
