Want to ride in the northern part?
Ride with me and my wife. Our destination is Pasil, Kalinga for the Cordillera Day 2014 event. This will be a Ride and Camp activity with cultural show at night. The ride dates will be April 24 onwards or until budget and time permits. My budget is only good for 3 to 4 days on the road so to reduce cost, camping with bland meal will be my priority, no fancy resta...urant. The views and sceneries however, will be colorful and “yummy”. So pack your cameras, leave your truck in our place if you feel lazy to ride your dually up to Baguio or I can arrange a dual sport bike for you, xr200 (with tire levers, air pump, basic tools, upgraded lamps, side luggage rack and rear rack ...ooopps by the way I am renting out a tent also ). Please arrive before April 24. We offer affordable accommodation or you stay in a place of your choice.
    Possible routes:
    1. Baguio-Bontoc via Halsema highway then on to Sadanga-Tinglayan-Lubuagan-Pasil. Register for the event or partial registration(?), kung pwede.
    2. Pasil-Pinukpuk-Conner then aim for Pudtol and Luna which roads I am not familiar with then go back, same road, to Pasil or Tabuk then head to Paracelis-Potia-Aguinaldo-Mayoyao-Banaue-Hungduan-Tinoc-Abatan-Baguio
    3. From Pasil to where my bike brings me….
    4. From Pasil, you may break away from me and draw your own adventure ride route Goodluck!

Wish I could join you, but I am out at sea working at the moment :(
We, my girlfriend and I, might do a northern Luzon trip in May, if her schedule permit. We will be riding two-up on our CRF250L.
She is up there now (traveled by bus) visiting friends.

New member here. Nice to see there's a thread for rides in the Philippines. This is me (in the annoyingly hi viz jacket) with some friends riding the Bauan-Mabini Circumferential Road around Anilao.

I've been here 4 yrs and just returned from a cross island ride through the mountains (East to west and back) of Cebu ride from Danao City to Balamban doing a small MX race with a good friend there ... I'm more of a pure dirt bike rider than ADV guy, its very easy to say you will have a hard time convincing me any dirt bike riding is better than here when you consider all aspects of a dirt bike ride ... The best aspect is the people and their attitude on life ...

    Happy Easter to all!

Just consolidating my photos and looking for other good ones to post. Thanks for the instructions @raj914, I'll be posting my worthy photos soon!

In the meantime I'm just trying to catch up on this thread, I'm already on page 41 right now. I must say I'm really enjoying the read!

It would seem Herc is one of the stars of this thread. So sad to never have met the man. Must have been on heck of a cool guy!

Anyhoo, are there any of you who have rides scheduled for this May? I'm planning to ride to Sagada two-up with my wifey, might be a good idea to have other riders with me to make the experience for my girlfriend much more fun! Let me know!

Squiggly lines on the GPS means fun riding ahead.

The place is pretty rustic, but at least it's right in front of the beach.

Sir Herc was the flame of this thread, very main reason I am considering getting a Big Bike to explore Luzon if not the entire philippines. I have been driving two wheels since I was a kid. If I only had a BB, I would love to meet/ride with you. Hopefully soon but would cost me arm and leg :lol3
Be safe and dont forget the pics :freaky

BTW, I live in Paranaque, are you nearby?

So, my 6th day started in Davao City around lunch time. I enjoyed the excellent roads of Tagum City and I was in Compostela Valley by 2PM.

As soon as I entered Surigao del Sur, I got off the highway to see Tinuy-An Falls in Bislig. My small bike in street tires was no match for the rough terrain on some parts but the habal-habals make it looks so easy.

    shaky cellphone video here

Slowly but surely, I made it to the falls..

All room/s were booked so I had to stay in the open cottage.. Alone in the dark with all the creepy noises the forest was making. There was no cell service either. My shower the following morning was the full force of the waterfall. I left early that morning.
