I'm interested in going to the HUMM as well (two up category! That way I can get the GF to push me through puddles and play navigator hahaha) BUT I was referring to: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events/virginia-2018
I went to this meetup something around seven years ago, it was my first big moto conference. Just curious to see how its changed over the years (looks like its gotten much bigger)

Wow - I got caught in a downpour which was amazing!
Not so amazing is that I think I blew the engine in my TW.
There is a really loud ticking and NO power!

We must have literally walked right past one another. The SO and I were there so she has a better idea how different bikes weigh and feel. I even pointed out the TW while we were walking out! Didn't know you had one.

Were you sitting on the BMW 310GS and checking out other bikes?
The TW is/was my around town bike, but I think the engine is done!

I was standing there looking at the same bike.

You must have driven there because I did not see any other customer bikes outside.

    Jeff

Was your SO talking about seat height on the 310?

    New Drop

It was pouring rain so I did my best

Hint: Some might say this Mansion is “good til the last drop”.

Others might say that the Addams family house cartoon in the opening shot was modeled after this mansion. That is a rumor.

Is it safe to assume it is within pushing distance of the Triumph dealership?

Kudos for going out in this miserable weather to take one for the team, with a broken bike.
Hope you are now in front of your wood stove reading the morning paper or watching the end of the Olympics.
Or the re-run of the Superbowl, for the 12th time! :lol2

Should I provide more clues to this tag or is everyone busy?

It is in West Germantown and is on the National Register of Historic Houses. Here is a pic of the house in 1964. The front is a bit hidden these days with large trees in the yard. It does resemble the Addams family house cartoon in the opening credits.

Bike's been out of action for a few weeks waiting on a part. Got it back in action yesterday.

    New tag;

I was a little lazy due to time constraints.
Special details: go inside and tell them you came because of the adventure rider forum. This will earn you a free coffee (or similar), already got ya covered![IMG][IMG]

Sorry, but life has gotten very complicated now that I'm retired. Spent the morning at the library, then the garage, then Cosco's. And lunch at Mara's in Fanwood having a Veggy Toaster. Not sure if I'm gonna have time for tagging now.....:-)

P.s., riding past Hampton Furnace yesterday (controlled burn) reminded me of Vermont in the winter when all the wood stoves were going. Great smell in the air!

got it with my wife's little orange scooter!
I am sad to say that I did not get the coffee you mentioned
because the starter on my wife's scooter is gone
and it is not always reliable to bump start
    so I left it running.

Thank you- I will return to get is asap!
