The ride starts @ 6:00, see you then.
6:00 P.M. TP, dress light, high of 88 this afternoon!
Thunderstorms went through Shippinsburg around 3:30 for 20 minutes or so. Should help with the dust.
But I can't make it, Emergency at work just came up, going to be on and off the phone all evening.
But I got all Summer to ride with you guys, Sorry.
Welcome to summer in Michaux!
My wife and I went out for about 2 hours. My allergies got so bad I had to stop.

Something kicked my ass too, TP. My eyes were so red, they looked like I was smoking something.
Hey Jax really nice shots of your ride today!
Just wondering if you noticed this problem.

FYI the map of south Michaux on page one goes to an error page, so I went to the source and this link seems to be a good one now.

Thank you Chris! I have fixed the link. It seems that every time the State changes webmasters the links change too..... :ddog.
I have saved copies on my computer so as to avoid having to research where they hid them.
Oh and I saw the crew grading and placing new gravel on Swift Run Road. I got to ride on the virgin gravel... Squirrelly goodness.
Took a great ride through Michaux, Tuscarora, and Buchanan on Saturday.
It was about 150 miles total and mostly dirt except travel across the valley.
Found a few vistas
Saw a few sights
and found many different non-tarmac riding surfaces. Only bad part of the ride was seeing the Hemlocks devastated by the blight in hemlock natural area.
It was a great day overall and I wasn't even that sore today!
Kind of hard to tell from this map, but it look like you went past my summer home around P
Lower Horse Valley Road?
Yes. I make runs through buchanan and Bear valley as a local loop.
Denny lives real close to there also.

Saw a first for me yesterday despite living at the edge of Michaux for 15 years. On Ridge Road just south of Shippensburg Road the state forest ranger had a pickup truck pulled over. The ranger had his gumball lights on and was issuing a ticket. I wonder what that was about?
The state keeps pleading poverty, but they sure have a lot of money to spend on fresh gravel. I think they are laying it down thicker and looser this year in Michaux than ever before.
Maybe the ticket money pays for gravel.
So, did you ride on?
Thanks for the post Crichton. Nice work! I think this thread is under utilizing the other SoPa Forests.
We are calling off the Thursday evening Adventure Ride in Michaux because of rain. Jeff will lead next week's ride at 6:00.
A little rain is gonna keep ya from riding? What kind of ADV'ers are ya?
I can answer that... The dry kind.
