Loved that last section! I especially enjoyed getting roosted by EZ300 (I am still picking the rocks outta my gear), and thinking "game on".

We both were jamm'n in the wash, and then he stops and says, "we better stop, I don't where I am going"........sounds like something I would do and say. Nothing like a bunch guys (and gal) acting like kids........gotta love it!

Great meeting and riding with you'all. Thanks :clap

Is there an easier way to the coke ovens? I saw one picture that showed a nice road in the background. If there is I would like to get out there with my KLR

I don't knwo who it was that I was talking to that said that it is easier if you come in from Florence. I have never done it that way but I've done it the hard way on a DR650. You should be ok with a little pulling and tuggin' on the KLR.

Maybe next year we come in from Florence and go to a different restaurant? I'm not gonna do a full out HTM assault on the place but the food really didn't meet past standards this time around. :cry

I have the tracks from Florence (E. Cottonwood Canyon off of 79) and YES,... it is much easier.

Here's a pic from 2008 of my boy and his friend on 85's that rode the route from the spot above.

Ask Brad. We had it so easy on the route from Superior that I thought I'd take a nap at one point

I managed to retrieve a couple of photos from my camera! Nothing spectacular I'm afraid.

    Starting in/from the high school.
