7 riders met at the "Mile Marker 4" staging area near Wickenburg this morning to follow Goner on a 100 mile trek around Wickenburg. It was an awesome mix of single track, jeep roads, sand sand sandy washes, and the wet and wild Hassayampa river.

    Goner - Yamaha WR450
    TParker105 - KTM 450 XCW
    jrproper - KTM 530 EXC
    Reidy008 - Husky SuperMotard
    JayBiker - KTM 525
    Eric - XR250
    Nightstalker - Honda 450X

The day started with high winds...and a debate on how much to wear.

After a short wash and trail run, we're at Castle Hot Springs road. JayBiker has a flat rear tire!

He added air, it was fine the rest of the day.

Reidy had broken off his front brake resevoir.

Eric had a great idea for a fix!

Reidy's ankle was hurting pretty bad from the crash and decided to return to the truck and call it a day. This is the last picture I have of him...

Goner took us to the Cactus loop, an excellent piece of single track!

We ran into Duwhat at the end of the Cactus loop. Trailblazing as usual.

Fully awesome indeed! I so have to move back to Arizona!

Damn, only eight more years to retirement, or thirteen if I go for twenty-five. Guess I need to schedule a month-long vacation to go riding instead.

And I agree with Tom, a lot of the rides you take are waaay over my head. Still, thanks for taking us along.

You probably wouldn't have wanted to be along for this part of the ride then...

For just a moment that single track didn't look too bad, even with the deep groove, then you landed on the cholla...

From my eyes it still looks do-able, though I'd be much slower. Then again, there are some nasty parts I'd be inclined to avoid. Great video NS!

That looks like a fun piece of singletrack! If my body wasn't trying to turn every molecule of water into snot this weekend, I would have liked to ride that!

Funny that you start off the cactus loop by plowing into a cactus..:lol3.

Thanks to everyone that made it out, or sorry maybe.. I had 99.6 miles on gps, lots of gates to go thru, tons of sand as promised, a few dead ends, some bush wackin :D, some awesome ST, good eats for lunch, and made it back to staging by dark.

I'll try to get a few pic's up tonight.

reidy down at mile 1. link to our injured rider. get well.

Found a dead end looking for the trail to Vulture Mine.

We had to bust through some dense brush to get this far, wasn't much better the second time. I got torn up pretty good.

Old cabin. Rumor is...this is where Sleeping Beauty, Little Bo Peep, and Snow White ran a brothel.

jrproper cracked his generator cover earlier in the day.
