If you know what you are doing the Saturday B loop should not be too bad on a 800GS but I do hope you are running knobby tires.

There might be some vegetation across the windscreen, I really did not pay attention to that when odo'ing the course.

There were no logs that last time we rode it but there is an uphill with roots across it......at least its a straight shot up the hill.

The first half of the Sunday A and B routes are the same but the second half is totally different and the A's get ST while the B's do not.

I definitely am not considering "A" loop but the B sounds iffy. I guess I will play it by ear when I get there!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Refokus but no matter how you look at it the F8 is a pig on single track!

Ewilly! I think someone with all your 2 and 4-wheel experience it would be mandatory for you to ride the B-Loop! :deal

It looks like its going to be awesome! Last year the A ride was great. Sounds like this year will be a little tougher...

Any idea what elevations should I prepare for?

Ah, good question. Right now all fee areas in the Prescott National Forest are closed which I believe includes the Lynx Lake campground. If they do not get our government back to work by the event date this will not change.

    Alternatives:
Dispersed camp sites on Bannie Mine Road which is a couple of miles South of the Lynx Lake camp ground.

There will be limited number of first come first served dry RV/Tent camping sites at the Elks Lodge.

Refer to the Hotel/Camping list on www.arizonatrailriders.org of which the Orchard Ranch RV Resort is probably the closest. (about 5 miles from Elks)

I found this place to be the cheapest hotel in PV. $60/night for single bed, $70 for double beds. Mention the event for discount rate. :deal

Don I received your second email about one of the B tracks not being filtered. It looks fine on my garmin so do I need to down load the filtered one with less waypoints?

Spoke to the PNF this morning and all the campgrounds should now be open.
