Thx for a great RR NS and gang! Looks like you had a blast. Razr's, KLR's and mighty XR's!
You were missed, how's the rehab going?
Looks like a good time was had by all. Thanks for the pics.
awesome ride fer a bunch o turkeys, ahem, mmmmm!!! awesome ride on turkey creek guys.
Thx Buddy. Doing well. I'm shooting for CO's for my return ride. Cannot wait!
I will try to Not do this
Thx again to you, Refokus and Reidy, for dragging my sorry butt off the mountain
Terry, we saw the monument they put up for you when we were out yesterday. There was also a charity box at the Cleater Bar for future broken Honda parts.
Durtklod and AZTom took me down that Turkey Creek route this past Spring. Tom and I rode Yamaha WR250R's, while the Klod rode his big KLR. I'm glad I did it, but about the 4th time crossing that creek I was not a happy pilgrim.
I learned a modern motorcycle is a lot more capable than I was. It was a good lesson and have used that experience more than a few times since. Seems like we have plenty of rock gardens in New England too. Still, I doubt I'll be riding Turkey Creek again any time soon.
It was truly a pleasure to ride with this group of guys. I appreciate them showing this AZ newby some of the local trails, especially knowing I was showing up on a KLR. I didn't take as many photos, but I thought I would post the few I took.
Sorry for the gratuitous bike shot...but she worked hard yesterday!
A little damage that happened on the ride out on the road...always happens that way. I also ripped off a mirror, but I needed new ones anyway.
Thanks again for the great ride...I think I will ride my KTM next time!
Did it look suspiciously like a tombstone??
I like the charity box for Honda parts. Nightstalker and I could really cash in on this.
It's FrankenBuddy!! A very serious bad A** bike! With a serious Terrorflex tire!
Notice hows there is not many pictures of the FrankenBuddy?? Humm.......
just because ktm doesn't have enough different engine sizes, he decided to make another! poked and stroked.
Actuallly, the "package" I'm running, Cut7 engineered and developed. Most fun adult bike I've ever owned.
I got had on the same powdery sandy spot as refocus did! He was kind enough to show me the route this past Saturday, and I had to have like four tries on that hill before I made it. He made it on the first go round! Bastard!
Very fun route. Thanks to brad for showing it to me.
