On a dirt bike? I heard the shit will explode if exposed to dirt.
Did you get the skull and cross bones bolts and the live to ride license plate holder yet...
Bike is looking might fine Geek
sorry, no real carbon but looks like it...
btw geek, your bike looks fab even with the "original" cans!
Here's a couple of the Remus carbon fibre on my S when it was new.
Mine came with the cf remus cans.
Original size is here for more detail.
When I wanted a refill because they were getting real loud, we discovered there's kind of a sock inside, to protect the cf from burning through. No refill possible without a Remus package, which they don't provide AFAIK. Then I found out a Bos silencer is the same size, so now they're all stainless.
They guy I turned to for the refill, DAM exhausts, told me his cf silencers are stainless inside, with a cf sleeve.
Cool looking bike you got there.
Later I installed the 2 - 1 so I could add more fuel and removed the baffle from the single can. I also made a slightly thicker rubber ring that goes between the clamp and pipe as the stock one was a bit loose and would start to fall out.
I ride mostly on the dirt and haven't had a problem with the pipe except for a little swelling around the clamp.
I now have the GPR exhaust on the bike.
My Akras have CF tips:
I just came across these and thought you might like to check them out.
What long range tank is that?
It's the Baja Designs 1.5 gallon (about 6.5 ltr) tank that is made to fit the earlier model KTM EXC's.
I can't link the thread I did about the install of the tank but I can give it a bump if need more info.
I installed one of these on my 950 as well. Works like a charm.
Here's a pic of my carbon can too so as not to hijack the thread...
How about Titanium with Carbon Ends?
Neptunes. Were on the bike when I bought it. Sounds Great. Runs Good.
I can't find them in stores
Fuuurk......... Look at the carbon mounts. I want.... I will make..... I have run carbon cans for 5 years no problems
