Lets see them.
I'll start the ball rolling.
Ah yes, good memories.
July 29, 2004 - The 22 year old Suzuki on her way from Key West to Deadhorse -
February 15, 2006 - Not my bike, but I was the one who rode it (For about 3 miles. The stock tires were sliding all over the place and I was afraid I'd get run over by one of the trucks. :eek1) -
April 1, 2007 - With a studded Gripster on the front, and a Michelin X-Ice car tire on the back, the Wing had no trouble negotiating the ice and snowpack we encountered north of the Yukon River -
July 4, 2008 - The KLR was found to be much better suited to the Haul Road than either the Suzuki or the GL1800 -
June 30, 2010 - A ride up to Deadhorse with Dean Tanji to get some more photos -
Most of my trips with other riders, my bike stays out of the way to make room for the rest, as in this one -
Great stuff. Keep em coming.
2009 with the Bean. also met up with Francis, Dave, Blair, some crazy Germans, one South African, a German couple and a British couple. Most of the furriners were heading to South America, or had already been!
Last July on the trip with my dad...cold as hell, rained on us 23 of 26 days of the trip and snowed once
On the Dempster
On the Dalton
Disclaimer: This isn't me, and it isn't my bike, either. But here you see ADV'er Wheeldog (obviously tougher than me) standing next to his KLR at the Arctic Circle on February 15th, 2006. Since Wheeldog has made it to Nome in the Iditarod Sled Dog race a couple of times, I guess a little cool weather is nothing to be concerned about.
Giroux, what are you doing down there on your knees?
dont get your hopes up, banjo player
The Circle in Norway, mid-June.
Went on up to North Cape at 71+ degrees north.
It was an easy cruise, especially in comparison to two German guys on old Vespas. They had been to the Cape and then east into Russia before heading back to Germany.
Myself and a couple of riding buddies at the circle summer '09. My steed is the '08 KLR (soon to be replaced with a new one) and I'm one in the middle.
Oops, sorry for the huge photo.

Likely better suited than an FJR, too!
