This was taken in November 2002 when I rode sportbikes. The airframe was more than just a C-130. It was an EC-130E Airborne Battlefield Command and Control Center (ABCCC) of the 42d Airborne Command and Control Squadron (ACCS) at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. The airframe was awesome and the US Army loved it's capabilities but the mission was terminated by the Air Force. Unit motorcyclists got permission to ride on the flightline for some last departing photo's.

When I was in the Rhodesian Army we used to have the Rhodesian Air Force do ground strikes with these. Great birds, and made a hellova noise as they went over the top.
