This was taken in November 2002 when I rode sportbikes. The airframe was more than just a C-130. It was an EC-130E Airborne Battlefield Command and Control Center (ABCCC) of the 42d Airborne Command and Control Squadron (ACCS) at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. The airframe was awesome and the US Army loved it's capabilities but the mission was terminated by the Air Force. Unit motorcyclists got permission to ride on the flightline for some last departing photo's.
That picture's got Maverick going through the danger zone written all over it.
