Tongue in cheek (at scrutineering) me (being the smart arsed aussie in the mostly deutsch crowd) asked what purpose the wing served... :augie

"Downforce at high speed..." came the deadpan serious answer...

... then I followed up and asked if they'd windtunnel tested it (and they thought I was serious... :rofl)

Saw it in the flesh and poked it. There's a lot to poke! It's feckn HUGE! In fact I was wondering where they could have hidden the other engine....

Incredible event, and one of the most Bootifull places in the whole of Europe. Recommended.

    Hi Dave.
Yes it's low. Haven't fired it up yet as it hasn't been ridden for about six years. So there's a lot of TLC to be done. Hope to have it going by next year's Broadford bonanza at Easter. Have to finish the Suzuki first. Cheers Marc

I'm not a car person, but those endurence racers are sexy...

Even the ones from the 80's look awesome when every thing else from the early 80's looks crap.

The best place on the net for Zane Laverda info is the Zane list.Hope you have done your resurch, they have issues. There is some info on The Laverda Forum as to these issues and the fixes.

This one has the earlier frame, and a Norton engine for reliability, hope yours works out.
Looks good, and they were good when they ran.

I'll probably use it as track day bike.
Also the challenge of making it run and keeping it running :-)

The Vic branch of The Laverda Club is pretty strong as well. The issues are well known, there isn't many options for the proven fix in Oz, ask at the club. The German blokes at OCT
have it sused. Its a bloody shame as the chassis is a gooden.Hate to talk them down, just read as much as you can and make up your own mind. As a lot of the Zane blokes say, the earlier Laverda models had their demons as well for certain years so whats new
