Yeah :dic ... on the bitumen perhaps... :augie

First hand account (at TUAREG Rallye 2012)... :deal

Everyone was standing around gawking/admiring/marvelling at the thing at tech inspection scrutineering in Almeria in Spain... the big "wing" on the back etc. ... and that it (reportedly) went like the clappers...

Get across to Marocco on the boat, to Nador... and the first two days - via Missour - down to Merzouga; on what was mostly, hard packed open stoney dry desert roads and tracks... it posted very "pedestrian" times...

Once at Merzouga (Erg Chebbi dunes)... it did not even get out of throwing distance, before it was bogged (several times) to the gunnels in the sand...

Spent the rest of the time (from what I could determine) impressing all and sundry along the liason stages with it's awesome exhaust note and the occassional wheel spin on the hard packed roads...

It was fecking awesome alright. :1drink

Tongue in cheek (at scrutineering) me (being the smart arsed aussie in the mostly deutsch crowd) asked what purpose the wing served... :augie

"Downforce at high speed..." came the deadpan serious answer...

... then I followed up and asked if they'd windtunnel tested it (and they thought I was serious... :rofl)

Saw it in the flesh and poked it. There's a lot to poke! It's feckn HUGE! In fact I was wondering where they could have hidden the other engine....

Incredible event, and one of the most Bootifull places in the whole of Europe. Recommended.

    Hi Dave.
Yes it's low. Haven't fired it up yet as it hasn't been ridden for about six years. So there's a lot of TLC to be done. Hope to have it going by next year's Broadford bonanza at Easter. Have to finish the Suzuki first. Cheers Marc

I'm not a car person, but those endurence racers are sexy...

Even the ones from the 80's look awesome when every thing else from the early 80's looks crap.

This one has the earlier frame, and a Norton engine for reliability, hope yours works out.
Looks good, and they were good when they ran.
