    And sometimes even long after.

I'm so glad you and Molson found each other in time, and that your vet was off skiing when you did!

    Re: Molson

    Great story..thanks for sharing.

I see and hear stories of human death everyday, and for the most part, it does not affect me. Stories like these, of these sweet innocent pets, get me welled up every time.

I hope you don't mind, but I shared it on Facebook. Molson's tale of the Canine spirit deserves to be shared.

Not at all. He was a remarkable dog who lived a long and ultimately happy life. I would appreciate a link, though.

Wife and I took her kayak and a canoe out Friday evening for our last trip of the year,,, guess who HAD to go along!
Damn near upset us a couple times leaning over to grab leaves floating by!
He LOVES the water and the mud,,, but it does quiet him down for a few hours once we're home.

Scootac's post about his dog being quieted down after going out and doing an activity reminded me about this picture I took last weekend. So I do not have to worry traffic, I like to take the dogs to walk down at some cranberry bogs not far from my house. The sandy dirt roads are also easier on their paws, than the streets around my neighborhood. Take the dogs for a couple mile walk and they quiet down for a good couple hours once home, usually falling asleep. Like humans, I think the outside air just does them good.

And really, I do not rank too many things higher in life, than a nice peaceful walk with the dogs at the bogs.

Taz, the old man on left, and Molly, the not so young anymore pup on the right.
